Description
(inspired by a recent trip to China)- acroilic (that's acrylic and oil) on canvas
* I wrote a poem to go with this piece. I'll probably post it soon.

Very nice. It's the great wall, isn't it? But at first glance, it looked like a surrealistic lady's torso and legs in a long, misty skirt. Either way you see it, it's spectacular.

It has the luminous coldness of a sky that's locked all its moisture behind ice... but it also has a powdery looseness. Painted with a sure hand and a great sensitivity to atmosphere.

I apply them in layers. In this piece the base was done in acrylic.

a very interesting landscape... the irregularity of the forms/space effectively captures the natural quality of the landscape of china... it is beautiful
