She's definitely my favorite pony of all ponies.
I really think Luna's underrated and that she should appear as much as Celestia does, she gets too little screen time and I love her new design x3
I'm pretty happy with the result of this one.. but knowing me, i'll be all meh towards it in a few days/weeks saying I could do better.
But yeh, the awesomeness has been doubled!

This is gorgeous! To be honest, I think Luna gets too much attention---almost everyone loves her more than Celestia... I mean, for real, ALMOST EVERYONE LOVES HER. NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING. Hey, I think Luna is awesome... I just... really? Doesn't anyone like Celestia besides me? Ah, oh well, nice picture---simply lovely!

I kinda feel the same way you do.
You see, I always find myself wondering just why is it that Luna doesn't get referenced as much as her sister does, now that she is back, is gaining her power back, and won over the support of her subjects after her hiatus. Mind you she doesn't have be brought up in every episode, but a nod here and there isn't too much to ask. I mean, why give her a new look and flesh out her character if you're not going to utilize it again.
Also, I thought for sure she would be present in the season 2 finale. I mean based on the tagline of "everypony who's anypony will be there," one would think she might attend. But she may have a role to play in it after all, considering that it's still too early to tell. Won't make the two-parter much of a deal-breaker for me either way.

I think it would be fun to see Luna appear beside Celestia, let the fans know how she is adapting to everything after a century in the moon and so on. Dedicating her a full episode and then not having her appear anymore.. Doesn't really works that much :/
