It is now over 30 years ago Dig Dug was first released in the arcades. April 19th to be exact.So I made this little comic to celebrate it.

i'm younger than dig dug and i admit that I did not live durring the time that this was famous, however i have played enough of it on my arcade nintendo 64 to have gotten good at it, and now... i love this game....

I wonder how Dig Dug would have done as a movie. Perhaps starring Chiba Shin'ichi, and featuring a bunch of actor in rubber Frygar suits...

Or perhaps a young Sanada Hiroyuki as the main character? He was one of the more popular actors of the early 80's, after all, and you can even catch him in an earlier, minor role as Takeda Katsuyori in Sengoku jieitai, starring Chiba Shin'ichi.

I so want a Dig Dug 3. Even thou Dig Dug 3 did turn into Mr. Driller.
I think Dig Dug Digging Strike is the closest thing to a third Dig Dug game, It would be so awesome if they show a new Dig Dug game at E3 this year.

No I havent, I think. I don't know where to play them.
I loved Dig Dug Digging Strike for Nintendo DS, but it could have been so much more than it was. And I didn't like the 3D part all that much, it could also have been in 2D.

Pretty brutal celebration!
With all the pixels, it's hard to tell how gory the game really would be.
But i think a thing jammed into the body and bursting the creature gives an image any way.

Maybe it is, I think it is a fun way to show how the game is, and how Taizo is like. He loves his job and food.
I think Dig Dug 3 would be a nice way for Namco to celibate this event :3
