Uh thats a hard question there! I like the way you draw feathers and dragons! But what I liked the most is the white creature on your commision page in on of your panels, the white one, really nice design! but pretty much all of your paitings are well done!

Thanks! It took a bit of time to figure out.
Twilight Sparkle as a NightWing was obvious. The smartest, most scientifically advanced tribe with a connection to the night sky and darker colors? No contest.
Rarity as an IceWing was equally obvious. They're seen as gorgeous, if snobby, with a very rigid class system and they're pure white. Instant match.
Rainbow Dash as a SkyWing is also a solid fit. They're fierce, the strongest and fastest fliers and have the keenest vision, in addition to being tough and individualistic. The colors don't match, but I saw that as secondary. And RainWings, while colorful, really don't fit personality-wise. I could see Rainbow Dash as Glory (or vice-versa) but for RainWings in general? Not so much.
Pinkie Pie as a RainWing makes far more sense. They're happy, silly, have a weird diet (compared to other dragons) and have a talent for appearing out of nowhere and startling everyone. And when RainWings are happy, they're pink, and that's what Pinkie is most of the time! But when pushed, RainWings can be unpredictable and dangerous--again, like Pinkie Pie.
Applejack as MudWing was a pretty easy choice. MudWings are sim--er, uncomplicated!--have ruddy, earthy tones, like mud and have a close familial connection with their siblings, even if the parents are out of the picture. Sounds like AJ to me!
Fluttershy was one of the hardest, since there really aren't any tribes like her. I went with SandWing, partially out of process of elimination, partly because of colors, partly because Sunny reminds me a bit of Fluttershy (and Pinkie Pie) but also because, well, it'd be ironic for Fluttershy to have the poisonous, deadly barb. Kind of like her packing The Stare.
Starlight Glimmer was left with the SeaWings also mostly because of process of elimination. SeaWings are kinda bossy and a bit full of themselves, which I think fits Starlight. Add to that the more aquatic colors (blue-green) for SeaWings and I thought Starlight could pass there. She could also work as a NightWing, but Twilight fit that better, so there you go.
If I did the reverse, turning the dragonets into ponies--which I might do at some later point--Sunny and Clay would be earth ponies, Glory and Tsunami would be pegasi (Tsunami could also be a seapony) and Starflight would be a unicorn.

What about the blindfold?

They asked that that be removed, yes. When I was doing som research for this, having never read the books, I was honestly just google imaging covers and fan art to get an idea of what I was doing. One of the knighting characters has a blindfold, so I used that. I was intending for it to be sort of a phychic aid sort of thing, I have read several books where a person with a psychic abilities that will cover there eyes to help them see or use the third eye or something. But, it turns out, that character is actually physically blinded.Β

I wouldn't say that I was unhappy: the original version was as exceptionally well-drawn as this one and I was blown away by the detail and gorgeousness of it. There were some creative choices made that, while clever and interesting, just weren't quite what I had in mind. While in no way bad, I just wanted to take a few things in a slightly different direction. Both versions are amazing and I cannot praise TurnipBerry enough.
