Inspired by cgaussie and zorame's LeeGaara fic, Convoluted Destiny. [link]

The fic is based off of the Naruto filler episode where an old man set up explosive tags throughout Konoha. The story is set as though the tags were never noticed and they detonated many years later without warning. It's a heart-wrenching fic, really.

This painting was constructed around the "impossible". Konoha being wiped off the face of the planet and friends, family and loved ones dying and disappearing, so I incorporated it with the impossibility of Gaara's dark rings suddenly melting off from his grief.

You could tell I got tired by the time I started painting his hair and slapped on a lazy background. Also, one day when I'm not busy, I'll fix the nose.
