Description Part forty-three of my 'mini' Dragon Series.

At first I was like "OH NO I'M NOT!"

After I finished I was like "Oh darn, I did."

I didn't quite want to do the "stereotypical" electricity dragon, and I think I'm teetering on the edge here.

Though I do like it - electric blues and yellows are among my favourite colour combinations. I was almost going to opt with something radical, but I like the idea of a futuristic kind of deal. And this is the result. :3

And I hope that made some sense.

This Electric Dragon is of the friendlier variety - one who has a deep trust and appreciation for mankind, and can understand their wants and needs. Though his love for humanity is a wonderful gift, he has completely forgotten the origins of his kind - the Lightning Dragons that darted through the clouds, filling the night sky with dazzling displays of elemental fury which sent the petty humans running for their lives - the Lightning Dragons who flew amongst the Thunder Dragons, whose roars were as earthquakes in the Heavens - the original, primordial beasts who knew no master, and flew untamed over the earth - unpredictable, beautiful, and destructive...nature at its finest...

Dialogue/Art (c) me.

The colours and whole electric-scheme - but Volteer is more detailed and less...angle-ly-ish than my guy is.

DRAGONS DRAGONS NEW DRAGONS.

I might not have time to reply to your notes tonight (again! D: )... BUT BY *GOD* I'M COMMENTING ON THE NEW DRAGONS.

While the color combo might be cliche, I think the color on this guy looks fantastic-- makes him look smooth and sleek. I like the shading on his neck a lot.

But... (could you tell there was a 'but'?)

His eye looks a little wonky, and the l ines are maybe a tad too bold-- they kind of offset his sleekness in a strange way.

DRAGONS DRAGONS NEW DRAGONS.

OMG I'M GLAD YOU'RE COMMENTING ON THE NEW DRAGONS.

*insert lulz here*

Bah - it's because I like this colour combo. I even used in the saga a bit. ( O.o OMGWUTWUTNOSTALGIADUDEWUTWUTOMG)

But yesh - I do like the shading/highlights. I think he looks almost glowy in a...subtle way? O.o He looks muscular while still maintaining smoothness.

His eye is a bit far up on his head - something I don't do often. I wanted a boxy-ness to his face - think power box - but I wanted his jagged jaw and pointy horns to be obvious.

Think like his head is a power outlet box, and all his horns and things are the different waves of electric power coming out of it, and his neck is the main wire that sends and receives information.

I think the line problem is the mouth - I didn't blend it quite right, methinks. I dunno - bothers me slightly - seems to bug off his face. I also think the lines are so because of the brighter colours - they're uber light and really powerful, so they stick out from underneath the thick black lines. (I use the same technique to line all of the dragons - some with more finesse than others depending on amount of detail.)

Muahhh.

Yeah, I really enjoy the combo. (WOAHHHH SAGA.)

Mmmhmm, definitely. They're definitely up too high, and I think the style it's in doesn't really match the rest of him? And I don't think the power effect you're going for would be related to most people because people tend not to search for depth in art anymore.

Yeah, the lines are kind of... too line-y. They really stick out, and are very straight, and contrast the smoothness in a way that's not really complimentary.
