I didn't no. Not really a fan of that good old Chakotay, shocking I know who could ever tell, so generally Akoochyblahing means anywhere blahing away from my general vicinity is good enough for me. (Although for the record I shall state it's not because I'm a J7'er. I didn't care for the character in S1-3 either. You like some characters you don't others I suppose. I just never got away with him).
Since, however, your idea does free up B'elanna to be with Ro Laren i'll take it. Although given the fact that one J7 fanfic I read that had Chakotay/Harry in it... that was really badly written and did nothing but squick me out on all relationship accounts. I won't be imagining it. Ever.
I think I'll sit here safe in my femslash zone with space wives fics.
