Surprise.
It's done~
I am so out of it, though...I decided the other day I wanted to finish this no matter what before next week. ...er...*looks at clock* ...this week.
So, three days of sewing. Straight. Woke up, sewed ALL day, slept. Rinse and repeat. In those three days I completed the skirt, collar, bows, and sleeves to finish the costume. To HELL with those sleeves, damnit. The little silver part? Yeah. Fuck it. My lack of skill there made me angry.
Anyway. Hand-stitched. All of it. Save for a bit of the skirt which I did while visiting Mom. But that's ok...I got to put lots of love into each little stitch. :] Harhar. (rly, I

I'll hopefully get some photoshoots in later when I decide to wear the wig.......or maybe before. I dunno. The wig is nice and the proper length, but my own hair is easier to style. =U We'll see.
Am I rambling? It's late. Haven't been able to afford food lately. Losing weight. Getting sick. Yes, now I'm rambling.

and if you are having trouble with the front/back bows a tip i've learned is to get like a thin bendable (but sturdy) wire and make it into the bows shape and then sew it to the inside of the bow.
just a tip for when bows give you troubles!!

Yeah, I thought about that. I already did something really moronic attempting that with pipe cleaners, and right now I'm just trying to find new ideas. I'm really trying not to spend more money than I absolutely have to. I think I'll just hunt for my safety pins and work with them somehow.
Also worried about the earrings. My skin is incredibly sensitive, and even my usual method (coating the hook in neosporin) isn't working for these and my ears burn like hell after a few minutes. = /

what material is the earing made out of? you might be slightly allergic to it :/ i know my mom can't wear sterling silver earrings so it might be that.
Yeah for the bows like make the bows outline with like a coat hanger/wire frame (nothing too cheap something you can get at hobby lobby or what not) and ask sakky i'm sure she'd be up for help on this sort of thing ^^ i'm sure she has lots of tips for you
also look around online and see what other cosplayers have done for their sailormoon outfits and stuff home made or not. i remember my mom made me a sailor jupiter outfit when i was younger X3 she just tied the bow like a shoe lace and then i just pinned the brooch to the knot in the middle. you are lucky she doesn't have a tiara X3 those are interesting to make

Oh, I know for a fact it's made of crappy nickel painted in crappy gold-colored paint. 
Sakky may have tips, but I'd rather figure as much out on my own as I can. I've done my share of research for this, and have been quite content with my own methods so far. Coat hangers may work. I'll look into it. Heh, yeah I'm freaking thrilled Uni doesn't have a tiara or gloves. :]
I never made her a completely traditional sailor senshi because she's not a real sailor (you may recall). Her heiress has both a tiara and gloves, but that'll be explained later on...if you read the stories, I'd rather not spoil it. >.>

so i mean if you can only wear gold earrings i mean christmas time is a good time to ask, or ask a pal if she has gold ones that you can borrow for the cosplay. (i couldn't remember if its the big chandalier crystal earrings or just the cross earrings that you are wrearing for this cosplay) if its the cross ask if someone has small cross earrings, or gold hoops. if they have gold hoops you can hook the crystal part onto the hoop and make do with that

It's the crystal teardrop earrings (I love that shape so much x_x...). I think what I may do is hang the decoration on one of my more expensive pairs that don't hurt as badly. Whatever if there's a random pink gem on it, it'll work. D:
I highly doubt folks will find the cosplay awesome, I'm actually going expecting the worst, but that's just me.

That's definitely no good... You might want to consider that option before your health gets any worse. Better to live right and keep yourself strong rather than struggle on your own and grow weaker. You won't be able to handle any kind of job if you grow too sick.
Really, who can blame anyone for staying home these days, when practically half the country can't even find a decent job anymore. =_=

Well it's summer time, that's when Americans naturally migrate around the country when their instincts randomly tell them that it's time to pack the kids, dog and step-mom all in a tight mini-van and see the country! So uh, you know... you could probably hitch a ride.
Oh you're in the military though... hmm. Honestly, I gotta really respect that. Cuz I know I'd just screw up big time over there. Still though... need to be feeling healthy and fit to be in service. Worst comes to worse, I spose there's always food stamps.
