This is one of those rare pieces where I had planned something that was significantly more texturally complicated, and then I got this far on paper and a little voice spoke up and said "Stop now. You keep going, you'll ruin it." This does not happen often, and I have learned the hard way that the little voice is usually right and I should listen.It is a simpler piece than I expected, but I was oddly pleased with it. It's 8x8, acrylic and graphite on a printed paper (yes, those are very faint kanji in the badger's fur, that's the paper texture showing through.)

Well, you claim to have no talent for abstract, however, everything behind the badger's face...
I can't remember what phrase that often followed the answer to "what did you photograph," but it's that same thing. I think they said something akin to "wow" but it translated much differently.
