Seeing different kinds of Doctors with their different companions always make me happy. Say what you will about Doctor Who blogs being too cloche, some of them at least look really original.

Yeah especially when they're pretty much based on Doctor Whooves and Assistant or start out with the Doctor being married to Derpy with no explanation just because....Ā
Then they go on to other blogs who try to be different and complain that Derpy isn't in it... Or as recently happened to me, one God-modding RPer came in and insisted that he'd spoken to MY Derpy who had told him she had a crush on the Doctor/Clever.Ā
Sometimes I just draw the Doctor with any companion that isn't Derpy just to annoy these people.Ā
You can have your headcanon if you want, but don't force it on to other people.Ā

See and this is why I'm glad Wind-Up kinda deviates from the norm. I don't get that NEAR as much. God-modding RPers are the WORST though! I get them all the time on Ghostly Scootaloo. It's a pain. And see I wanna do something with Notepad and give him a casual-ish blog but there's so much pressure now to do Doctors well it's a pain...
I avoid Derpy and the Doctor like the plague. And people defend them way too much, as if because we don't agree with the headcanon that we're scum.

I like Derpy and the Doctor so long as its written well. I am after all a fan of both Lovestruck Derpy and Whooves and Assistant, but because its been done so much, and partly because the fans are really freaking obnoxious about it I don't want to do it myself:/ I had Clever and Derpy know each other, but that's only because they had to because of Timetraveler Dinky, but I keep reminding people they were never romantically involved, and Derpy never traveled with him.Ā

Same here. But I think Lovestruck and Whooves and Assistant got so popular that the fandom now accept that as "canon" even though it's not. I mean it's a great fanon and I love it but then they go crazy and start forcing it on others. Heck one f Wind-Up's first few questions were about Derpy. And I had someone tell me I was "Doing it wrong." Because his companion wasn't going to be Derpy. Having Clever know Derpy was cool and I loved that that was all to their relationship but when people are forcing stuff on you because they like it better than what you're doing it's a problem...

Well even Whooves and Assistant has gotten flack lately because of Tick Tock, as now we have a ship-war between those who want Derpy and the Doctor dating (which they somehow assume was the case all along for no reason) and Derpy and Tick Tock...Ā
That's one of my biggest peeves in this fandoms, treat fanfiction as what it is.Ā

I love TikTok. And there will always be ship wars. Always. People just need to chill the crap out about them. I've seen a lot of hate go around for Doctors without Derpy's and Doctors with others who aren't Derpy. It's so dumb...
I agree. It's cool to see the fandom so passionate about the works within it but man...they need to chill sometimes.
