Where better to spend a nice hot day on South Island than in one of the many beautiful lakes of Green Hill? One of the delights of Green Hill's stunning vistas along with good-vibe tropical palm trees are the numerous lakes and rivers, most of which Sonic simply runs past with little interest. It is truly a natural paradise, one which today Amy is taking advantage of.

Green Hill's lakes have crystal clear water, smooth sandy bottoms and are sun-warmed to perfection (at least in the relative shallows). To make the scenario even better, Green Hill is a vast and sparsely populated zone. Amy can swim in peace and quiet, able to be one with nature to relax. Compared to the shifting tides of the island's surrounding ocean, she feels quite safe and comfortable within the calm appearing Green Hill waters.
It also helps that the distance to travel for her isn't that far compared to the beach, she might jokingly consider it part of her backyard! Wearing her red one-piece swimsuit we see Amy getting into the water, having a fun splash and early swim. She is likely tempted to swim out much deeper and further once settled.

Although these brilliant blue waters are not without their hazards. The risk of random currents and sudden waterfalls are ever present for those not cautious. While Robotnik was defeated, could any of his aquatic Badnik's be still lingering in the deep of one of the many lakes? Not to mention that while Amy loves Green Hill's relaxing isolation, if for whatever reason she began to struggle or drown, nobody would be around to notice or help. This was a commission I bought from the wonderful ! A core inspiration and motivation for me was the setting. We often see Sonic characters at generic beaches, pools or other Earth like locations. Yet Sonic's world is full of amazing and unique scenery. None more iconic than Green Hill itself! All those amazing lakes, waterfalls and lush endless summer vibes to me beg for more fan art to take place in this location with characters wither hanging out or swimming.
