Funny...I was at the Mt Comfort airshow (before it was discontinued, consolidated with the Indy show, then discontinued altogether due to cuts in military spending) where it was announced that a group of A-10's were going to do a surprise entrance into the show. I had an old Pentax K-1000 with a zoom telephoto with me and thought I was going to get a good pic of them. I was so wrong! They came in at treetop level and with all the bobbing and weaving they did, I only got a few shots of wingtips and horizontal stabs. They sold me on their capabilities from that point on.

Damn, these things are sooo cool!!

Now imagine for a moment your a grunt with say....3rd Shock Army of the old Warsaw pact ( can't really use a raghead from islamland since they have no imagination or clue) and you see the semi-exact same thing as the airshow BOT it's for real and YOU are right on the ground in the middle of it...
Watching from NATO lines gives one a warm feeling on the backside... being in the middle of ground zero...not so much

Thank you! I do have a few in mind from Hawgsmoke 2016 that I'd like to try doing. But, these are still in my head lol
