Dropping all of its ordinance onto one area is a waste of missiles, bombs, and shells. It's better to fire what is needed for the C.A.S. mission. If it's a cluster of infantry and/or light vehicles then it's a 30mm strafe or bombing run. If it's armored vehicles, say tanks for example, then it's a strafing run of either dummy or guided missiles. However these things need to be called in and have target coordinates radioed in to the pilot by a ground team or a radio operator so that the target would be hit accurately. Without this coordination there's no guarantee that the target would've been hit and there's a greater chance of friendly fire.

I never said the aircraft would be empty. I simply pointed out that if both aircraft had just hit a target, it's unlikely that both of them would have a full load on their wings. If they had hit their targets, then atleast two bombs (one on each side) should have been dropped (this keeps balance on the aircraft, making it easier to fly, and, more importantly, even wear on the airframe). Also, if memory serves, as she came out of the area after recovering from the damage, she dumped her remaining ordinance to lighten the load (which is what pilots typically do when their planes are heavily damaged, it ensures that in the event of a fuel leak, or, as in this case, save wear on a damaged engine)
