Oh man I'm happy with this...
So happy in fact that I played around with it all morning long, and ended up with 18 seperate renders of this exact character in all different backdrops, and poses
I finally came to a transparency for the sleeves (train, front panel of the gown, and parasol) that I adored, and sat back and said "Okay...quit, before you mess it up!" 
This was my favorite of the lot, but I'll post one later with the entire gown. I just wanted to break from the monotony a little and post something not related to one of my calendars, and yet still a little Halloween-ish.

LOL, When we upgraded the RAM and the hard drives, I think we forgot to upgrade the video card, and the processor is almost 5 years old

You sound like my dad. He kind of collects computer parts, but most of the time none of it is top of the line, so he's got like 5 computers but none are as powerful as my two. Anyway, RAM isn't too expensive anymore but a new motherboard and processor can get kind of pricey. Do you want a dual core or just a really high level single? I have one of each. I'm excited because Poser 7 has a new render engine that will utilize the dual core processor! Oh, but you don't like using Poser, right?

I don't know enough about parts as a whole to know what to get at this point... And I've got Poser 5 on here now, but can't figure out how it works at all
Shad just needs a new case, I think...and a new monitor. And before long I think Yoda's dad is sending him a tower, which will also need a monitor

With motherboards the main thing is to get one that fits the processor and RAM you want and make sure it's not a cheaply made one because you don't want it to crap out on you after a month...
It's hard to know what to do. My computers I build from scratch mosly so that I know what I have and it will do what I want from it, plus buying a piece here and there makes it easier then just spending $1500 on a new machine....
I wish I could help you out in some way, Vai. I just don't know what to tell you....

I'm just going to play it by ear, I think and start with the video card (which has way too little memory). If that doesn't work, then I'll have to look into the motherboard, but hopefully upgrading the vid card will fix the crashes

Yeah a good video card is always a good place to start if you're hacing graphical issues with crashes. My machine that I render on has two graphics cards to speed up the process, but a single with higher memory should at least help the problem if not solve it.

I need to finish the full view of her (keep changing the background, lol) and the one I'm working on now (I think my processor is dead...computer keeps turning itself off while I'm in DAZ *cries*)

Oh, I really like this. I'd like to see the other renders of this too. I love the mask. I would love to see you do some more masks with lots of feathers and things like that. But maybe that's me....I like those types of masks.
