IF you need a reference to improve your technique, I would recommend looking at Albert Bierdstat's or/and Thomas Morans or Federik Church's work WHILE you do your paintings.
I do that to help me learn faster, this techneque is very useful for every medium of art imaginable.

Those who have had a decent amount of practice with traditional mediums tend to excel in digital mediums, much like those who have significant practice with graphite tend to excel in acrylics oils and watercolors. The reason why I learned so fast is likely due to my understanding of fundamentals of art;
Composition, texture, color.

to know more about traditional vs digital in terms of training, so far I believe they are both relevant in increasing EXPs. Although which gives MORE exp and for which subject is currently being debated. It's good to play around with both though even if you already declared yourself as a digital or traditional artist.

Almost forgot to tell you something very important, for the mountains, it is actually nice to take some pictures of rocks, use those textures on the mountain, set the textures to very low opacity <20-30% and play with those textures and the smudge tool to help texturize the mountain.

No problem, but when you do upload a painting using those brushes, the artist requests (don't think requires) that you give him credit so more people know about these epic brushes.
BEST of LUCK
