i love how 'rough' this pic looks, its suits it very well. i don't think it would have had the same afect if it was clean cut and perfect.

Beautiful. However, I notice the detail seems to be contained to the left side of the painting. Why is that? The mane on the right half seems to have less detail. This is a wonderful piece and you got the lighting just right! Great work!

It's a compostional device that draws the attention to where I want it to be. However, in the original, the image as a whole has more balance...the scan picked up a lot of extra stuff in the left side and the subtle colors and textures on the right side were homogonized into a more solid mass.

Aslan? I vaguely remember reading about a lion creating galaxies and things with his raw in the Narnia series!! This is truely beautiful and I love every aspect of it ...
