This is Saitou Hajime from Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan. He's a very popular member of the Shinsengumi and appeared in various works, notably in Rurouni Kenshin (under the name Fujita Goro). Apparently, he was left-handed .

and I know the version in "Kenshin" too. their are quite different but you can still find some similarities. I think the man himself was really a great man... but he was really ugly in reality ! (laugh)

Yes, they are physically different, but their personality is quite the same ^^.
I can't really say I admire the real person, after all, he was quite a killer (ugly or not ). But I appreciate his loyalty and sense of honor!
