this is my third try at using okekai.. however you spell it. i wanted to go completely surreal on it.. i want the viewer to -feel- what i feel.

this is what louisiana looks like to me. yea, i live here, i wasn't born here. i was born in new york. it's a love/hate relationship with the state.. somethings are still so strange.. and somethings are just so exciting and wonderful.. i don't know how to explain it.

so here is louisiana.. through my eyes. plenty of good times, bad livers, worse memories, but no regrets..

i think if i ever left the state, part of me would stay.. but it's okay. i'll always be back for mardi gras.. haha

anywho, this is the song i was listening to, while drawing it. it's from a kickass band called Santeria. You'll hear a lot about them from my paintings and stuff.. they're really good.. really a great inspiration to me. (^__^)

When you lay down on Zixox Ridge
All you thought was sacred then
Now don't mean shit.
Is there a heaven in the night sky
Where the moon sits?
So many killers on the street, tonight
Just wandering around here

I'll shoot a hole in the night's roof
