This is beautiful
I make sonic sculptures for commissions, and I was wondering, how do you go about making the clothing? Do you use wire mesh to make the shapes and then put the clay on top? (I need to know how to stop it being so annoyingly floppy if I'm making a dress out of clay)

Hmm, I guess it depends on the clothes in question. With this sculpture right here, wire mesh would actually be a great idea. I didn't use it personally, since I didn't have it on hand. Instead, I sculpted the shorts/chest/dress area, stood it up on metal wire stilts in place of legs, and then put more metal stilts on the inside of the dress to keep it from "caving in". The dress itself is actually a lot thicker than it looks, so it didn't get floppy/wrinkled.

But I think wire mesh would probably work out better overall.

Wow, even with black ans white you still make this sculpture 'come to life' so to speak. The base is kinda bland though, were you having difficulties designing one?

Haha. Yeah, I'm kinda getting a bit repetitive with the circular bases. Really I just kinda go with it, I never know what the end result will turn out like.
