XD we have a bunch of visual adeptations for the books. There are several that dipict the world the series takes place in. And its because the movies are just terrible. Even the author hates them.

The graphic novels are fine, I appreciate them, because they actually follow the story line. The MOVIES, on the other hand, don't know anything about it. It's like whipped up some random piece of information and decided to stick them all over the place. It's disgusting. Hate the directors. Even tho Uncle Rick never watched the movies, I have to agree with him. I haven't watched Sea of Monsters, and when my dad offered me to watch it, I was likeΒ No. Hell no. No more films about Percy Jackson. Just NO.

XD yeah. He knew they would be bad. I honestly didnt even know the second film had comeout. And i wasnt neccisarily talking about the graphic novels. More so the books that go into detail about the characters and places that were endorsed by rick himself. When i watched the first film i felt lost and thay the spent way way way too much time in the casino. It was rediculous. Insaw the second but it was just as agrigious as they were supposed to sail to multiple islands if i remember onstead of it all being on the one cyclops island. Forgive me its been... hmmm 8 years since i read the books.

I forgive you. I'm more into Heroes of Olympus, so from time to time I forget things from Percy Jackson too. In the books, I can recall that Percy went to different islands ANDΒ learns something, like the sirens, for instance. It sucks to not see those vulture ladies. Ice Age did better then Percy Jackson in the fourth movie, Ice Age: Continental Drift, where they actually placed the sirens in the movie. IT SUCKS SO MUCH, IT HUUUUURRTSSS

Was he the harry potter director or percy jackson? On thimg i dodnt get in tje harry potter movies was... why grandize the castle? Its 7 floors and 2 dungeons. Given the amount of students, the way the school was so crowded and with so few teachers made no sense. In film. In books the building has a layout to a degree but its abit less set in stone as the rest of the grounds and world. The best depiction of the harry potter school to me was actually in the gameboy color games.

Really? I didn't really pay much attention to the castle itself, just the storyline and the characters (at least they got Ron's "bloody hell"s right) But yeh, Columbus directed all the Harry Potter movies, and PJ and The Lightning Thief -- some other Russian dude directed The Sea of Monsters

Its really not. Its a big fancy school. Not an entire kingdom. Not many castles in history were big like hogwarts was depicted. And if the years of students and amount of years are to go off of theres maybe less then 300 possible students on hogwarts TOTAL. Like, thats like if every hogwarts house had a full set of 5 boys and 5 girls in every new first year. And then had 20 extra students so if theres like, 10 teachers amd a few groundskeepers then at most in tje school theres 300 people. The is less then HALF my own highschool hell i think thats around double my graduating class. Give or take. I didnt keep track of everyone. And thats just a regular public highschool. Not even one for a whole major city. Just a regular town. So yeah, the castle.loolong like downtown cleveland is a bit much.

Maybe they just had a higher budget, and thought Hmm, maybe we can just spend those extra dollars on the CGI on the castle. We can make it grander than the books, and people will be thrilledΒ to see it. Heck, I don't really know why the castle is THAT big when there are only a few students -- maybe around 20-30 kids -- coming in for first year -- you have a point there, hands down.

XD yeah. 4 houses. 5 boys and 5 girls each. (Max) so 40 first years and those then go up to the next year and when year seven comes those 40 then leave and another 40 come. And i think they either stay in the same room every year or the room is moved up and so the 7th years are on the 7th floor of griffindor tower. I can see the tower having almost a helix as it goes up and the floors interchange male female.male female. We sont know how all the other houses are, but for the amount of students, its not nearly as much as the movie castle needed. XD and the books even say that 2 houses of the same year are required to share classes. Like potions with griffindor and slytherin. And flying practice with griffindor amd hufflepuffs. They have free periods of course. But no class has more than 20 students at a time which is a normal class size. My highschool had roughly that per class if sometimes smaller. But it also had a bu ch of teachers and lumchtimes. I imagine hogwarts either has a whole mid day lunch or its like a rwgular highschool and goes by periods. Its been awhile. But funny enough my highschool with all 4 years could basically outsize all the students from hogwarts. Mean from sheer size my highschool would be BIGGER than the hogwarts in the books of it used regular school sizes. But its a castle so the rooms and all that would still be fuckoff big in size but it wouldnt be wide so much as 7 floors tall and then some towers on top. Like some hogwarts towers are just big ass staircases in a double helix fashion. Probably. Too bad alot of the casle got cut in the final movie. Well areas in the castle. So yeah. The castle itself isnt as big as the movies. But its still big. I mean half the builsing i hogwarts would be empty af. I mean it does say theres alot of trick corridors but honestly we only hear of those in book one. Amd all but vanish in later books in place of secret paths. But cause magic its a workable layout. Like on the gba gamea its likely jist a staircase that swirves between stuff. In game tho its used for fast jumping between floors. But yeah. Big but not movie big. If u go off of just a rendition of the castle from above based on jk's sketch and the front sketch used in one of the recent publishing then it should look better.

Huh. My school is going CRAZY with all the new students coming in. Pretty sure that next year we're going to top up to a thousand students (there's only 4 years, cuz it's just a newly developed highschool, but schistΒ -- that's a lotta students!)

Yeah, that would be awesome. Except, the company that made the movies have all the rights to do whatever they want to the Harry Potter series (was it Warner Bros. or something?) That also means that if wanted a Percy Jackson TV series, Fox has all the rights and privileges because they were the ones who were able to make the movies. It sucks

Yeah fox is honestly ass... but you said there are visual novels? Harry potter needs a visual novel series XD oh god that would come in 7 sets but each book would have to be a full chapter. And just imagine how thick those would be?... hell that would be lovely. As games the harry potter games were pretty great until the goblet of fire. Altho the movie model of hogwarts in game 5 was dope cause it was literally the whole castle modeled out. Or most anyway. Still dope tho. Seriously, they could use that for a cg animated series if they wamted to use the movoe stuff. But again i want the squid amd the boats amd the ivy wall covered cave path that leads up into the dungeons just like the book said. Did u ever play the gabeboy color harry potter games? They were turn based rpg's but they were good ones!

Omg, yessss!!!! If Harry Potter was a graphic novel, I would be falling on my knees. Pretty thick, but I'd still be falling. Anyway, I do own a Gameboy, and I still play the colour version of The Chamber Of Secrets -- very glitchy, but its what I imagined the Harry Potter universe

It's funny, and it's something that I always add every time I draw Percy or Annabeth, but both of them have mutual gray hairs from back in the Titans Curse when they held up the sky. I like to think that they'd kept them forever, kind of like a staple for their relationship, so I always add it in, but I never see anyone else draw it.
