Phew, this feels like a scene out of an action movie. It's bright and energetic, and it's clear that something (possibly horrible) is about to happen. The fire in the distance makes me think that there was an explosion of some kind.Β
I didn't notice the water initially and thus thought that the fallen woman was coated in sweat. Her expression is puzzling as, if someone was holding a bloody knife in front of my face, I probably would not look that calm (although maybe she hasn't noticed the knife yet). I can't tell what the thing beside her (which she's placing a hand on) is, it appears to be an animal of some kind. Her chest/stomach looks kind of lumpy, so I'm not sure that you displayed her muscles correctly.

The character was actually supposed to male, but you are definitely not the first to think it's a woman. You raise very good points. I've started editing the piece, partially due to the character's gender ambiguity, but also due to good points people made, and I am certainly adding these to that list.Β

This piece immediately "demanded" my attention. It gives me a sense of caution and alert, as if I was watching a real life event unfold. Art that powerful always deserves some credit. The body coming out of the water is very nicely done. It is very difficult to show wetness upon a human body in such a realistic light. The fire in the background is very well done. Scenery wise the piece is fantastic.
There is still room for improvement here. It seems the knob on the handle of the knife, is unfinished? It may have not been a good idea to use the same color for it as the color of the pants of the holder. The drips of blood on the knife could use work, as they don't look like real drips. try doing the drips more like images of raindrops, that noticeable circular curve at the bottom. It is too squared off here. The body coming out of the water, the hand that is on the rock needs just a little more shading in the finger area to ensure the limbs are distinguishable.
Overall I like the feel of the piece. Keep up the good work!

And I agree, I did go a bit easy on finishing that knife. I'm currently adjusting the piece because a lot of people thought the character was a female instead of a male, so while I'm at it, I'll definitely work on the knife, the blood and the guy's hand as well.Β

I love the textures and shading here, and the anatomy of the woman is on-point! The fire is a very nice light source as well. It overall has a very warm feel to it and the colours are very nice! A very good painting!

This is exactly the type of art I would want to create, the style is amazing and the different colors look amazing. How long have you been drawing? And how long did this take to make?

I think I've been working on this piece a little more than a day; I got the shading and flat colors done in one evening, and the rest of the piece was a day's work. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, but really got serious near the end of high school.

I love the details you put into doing this drawing. The fire behind the girl really
tells such a powerful story even if you didn't put it into words! This tells it all!
The person standing on the foreground withΒ the bloodied knife looks so cool
and looks creepy too. You got me wondering about what the person is going to
do to the girl!
The fire behind the girl stands out so much, giving off a wonder shade of orange on
the characters and landscape. The anatomy is really well done. Barely any
flaws from what I see. Overall, amazing piece!

You can try making the arm more muscular and the body as well. For the face, thin up the eyelashes because after I took a closer look of your piece, it seemed pretty thick that it seemed to be a female. I hope that helps! If not, try doing some research.
