For my beautiful Daughtar and one of my dA best friends :3
I actually love her so much :'D She totally deserves this, no matter how many times she denies it

This piece features =lady-llama 's OC Chloe, and my OC Vixen as PRINCESSES.
Because I'm such a girl xD
I'm actually really proud of this! It's by far one of my favourite pieces ever~! I do believe my anatomy is pretty good in this picture, although I know it's still not the best xD
I designed both outfits, however I had a little help with Chloe's as I had no idea what to do, but I've lost the link to the photo x'D (Tori if you still have it could you please comment with it >3< Thanks<3 )

Background inspired by this piece -

Oh and critiques are welcome, but some bits I will point out:
-The light source is the moon, that's why the light in their hair is in different directions, same with the shiney bits in her eye.
-Chloe and Vixen's right arm's seem a bit off to me, but I'm no expert so I'm not entierly sure why xD

Yeah, I'm still working on light sources, but I always forget about it and when I don't, I get carried away with the light being from one direction and never really concentrate on wher the light should actually be from, although now that you've pointed that out to me (along with others) I can assure you that I wont make that mistake again :3
About Vixen's hair, I've never been good at shading with red hair, despite my favourite OC having it, but it did infact have darker shades in it, and I'm sure you've heard it a lot, but my scanner ruins the colours greatly, so I always boost the saturation and darken the image a little before I submit it and it always makes certain colours a little flatter then they should be. However I've never actually tried shading red with purple, I'll have to try it some time and see how it looks on my scanner (:

My friend's always tell me to use myself as a model when drawing, but I've never really tried it before, mainly because I like to make my style rather skinny, and human anatomy is a little more broad then that, but I have slender arms as it is, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to try referencing from myself time to time.

Oh yes, scanners are the death of all traditional artists. D: I think there are tutorials out there about editing scanned images to make them less terrible, but I can never remember so many steps so I tend to just deal with it.

Even if your style is skinnier than what you might physically be, the relationships in length and such will still help - references don't need to be copied exactly. c:

The one thing i don`t get about this drawing is Chloe`s mouth. I havent seen her original design but it looks bit odd to me /the mouth/ o.o
Other than that It`s all awesome <3
I see that Vixie`s blouse kinda makes her pelvis look a bit weird too but that`s probably cuz i stared at it for too long xD

Maybe try drawing their bodies, THEN draw their clothes on. It will help with anatomy and whatnot.
