I am not in a position to technically analyse your work, since I am not even a photographer, however as much as I remember I looked at your portraits as trim and without further ado.
First thing I saw in this picture was the combination of textures in background. Second was I found myself not very amused by the blur of the hand. Even though, when I see the whole series, I may say all are well-fit, I am thinking if your experimenting and that is why I find this inconsistent with what I loved most among your pictures.
