Description "Wanting you to be wanting me,
No that ain’t no way to be,
How I feel, read my lips,
because I’m so over.
Moving on, it’s my time,
you never were a friend of mine.
Hurt at first, a little bit,
but now I’m so over.
I’m so over it."
-Katherine Mcphee, I’m Over It

Ulp! Something depressing for ARH.

I feel so out of sync this week. Well, at least for today I attribute it to the fact that I hadn’t drawn at all for the entire day. It got so stifling that I was compelled to write, remarkably, though that's not what I really wanted to do. My mom says that I’m “a slave to my art”. I’m starting to wonder whether or not this is true.

I wonder if it's our mission to make Carter depressed this loving month? Haha.

Love the colors and mood of the overall picture. Especially like the fact that for once, Carter's wearing his headphones!

Burhbuh aawwwwww! Now that you've mentioned it, we should create some happy times for him. ;v;

Thanks! I always thought that he would listen to his headphones whenever he's upset (it's not canon though). :V

40 MINUTES LEFT!
I-i really like this :> Maybe it's the texture, or just the mood, idk.

"slave to your art" Isn't that true for most artists, though? If we're not doing it, we're thinking about doing it, or the fact we are unable to do it (for ability reasons or other). I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad thing, though. Not sure if I should talk though, since I don't often get this stifling feeling unless I'm supposed to be doing something else. Like right now.

Eeeek late reply. ;v; Thank you Hazel, I'm always enlightened by your responses! :V

I'd like to think it's not a terrible thing! For a person who wants to surround herself with art for the rest of her life, ideally being "a slave to art" would be expected, I would think? But my mom wholly disagrees; there are things which need to be done, in contrast to the things I want to get done. She insists on balancing my art with my studies and family life, which I'd admit isn't bad either, but extremely difficult when pursuing something so passionately haha. ;v; (Vy has no self control!)

I hope you did well! :V
