Description The first of the Kei sisters, representing mori-keiΒ Β

Moriko (literally "forest child") is the eldest of three sisters, but is often thought to be the youngest...as she is the shortest and rather petite. She likes taking the scenic route wherever she goes, opting to admire nature wherever it may appear. This often fuels her inspiration for her blog where she writes stories, poems, and articles about gardening, often while visiting one of her favorite cafes. She has a pet bunny named Choco (lol mori girls will get it XD).

A couple final fun facts: she's vegetarian, is a bit of a nature/antique hoarder collector, and her favorite flowers are dogwoods, which mean "nature lover"

As adorable as elegant, as always It may just be a detail, but the long ribbons coming out of the apron bow and fluttering in the wind+leaves helps conveying a slight relaxing feeling, as if Mother Nature was caressing Moriko. Your pastel green tone is very appropriate for the sylvan theme. Though I wonder about the light pink tone of both her bib apron and hat : it reflects a bit more floriculture than forest to my eyes. But it effectively brings an additional cute touch.

Speaking of clothes, many dresses worn by your characters (including your self-depictions) bear white undulant lengthenings at the bottom end. Do those dresses have a specific name?

Aw thx! Well, mori-kei does celebrate flowers as well; many mori girls are into gardening and flowers. It was actually supposed to be a light linen earthy color, but I guess it does look a bit pinkish.

Well, my self-depictions featured a skirt I loved that has a lace lining on the skirt itself. In this case, this is more of a slip or under-skirt with a scalloped edge. Mori-kei and its sister styles feature lace and layering, giving kind of a vintage, rural kinda look.

Oh I see. Now that you mention it, the apron/hat color have indeed a very, very light brown tint. It must be delicate to depict such color without making look like pink.

Thanks! Then Moriko embodies a return to the roots, to say the least.

It is indeed. I tried to adjust it to have more yellow than red for that reason, but if I went too far, it’ll look kinda lime/lemony; not quite the color palette I was going for.

I guess you can say that ^^

Thanks! I used to have her in a more detailed coord (outfit), but decided to simplify. Very happy with that decision ^_^
