Description Halloween Chocolate Monster Contest
Contest Entry for the Contest currently being held at =AllAboutTheChocolate

Piggy. Goofy dressed as Frankenstein did what many trick-or-treaters did at our house and came back multiple times! The candies shown are what we gave out for Halloween, often two per treater and, sometimes, extra for mom and dad. We go through several cases of the treats each year.

Goofy is a © of The Disney Corporation
Basket is © of The Longaberger Corporation
Candy is © to their manufacturers, Nestle and Kathryn Beich

I'm out of the caramel bars.

I still think you should have taped a piece of chocolate in his mouth.

Wish I would have thought of that. I had a hard enough time taping candy to his hands! I had tried to have him on top of the basket with candy taped just to the inside of the basket, on the outside and leaning up but they kept falling off... never mind.... so I just set the goodies out around him.

Will try and remember to ask dad if there any more cases of candy to bring caramel bars. He has had two deliveries in a row of candy cases. Also, he is exhausted from unloading trucks of cookie dough! There has been several deliveries in the last two weeks. The car has thousands of miles on it already

mmmmmmm cookie dough...

I wonder if we could get something like fishing line wire and use it to string the plushies up. It's clear so it might not show, and then you can arrange the plushies so they don't fall over.

TOTALLY ENVYING THOSE KIDS AND GOOFY. I've never seen that candy that says almonds and caramel on it. o.o Man, I'd go back twice too! YOU HAVE A GREAT STASH. One of the cool houses XD Good luck in the contest!

Ah, I do miss the old wrapping of Crunch bars though. They...call me crazy, but to me they tasted better before. Still like 'em though, yum!

Many kids will tell us that we're the best house ~ they make sure they tell their friends. We went through over 200 bars.

Kathryn Beich makes the almonds and the caramels. They make Katy Dids, which is an old fundraising candy. I remember selling cans of Katy Dids when I was a child for Brownies and the Girl Scouts (early Sixties). I need to add the name to the description. I had to ask hubby just now how to spell Beich to be sure. Otherwise I would have had to go track down a bar or download the picture to see if I could see the print well enough! The garage is full of cases of that chocolate ~ hopefully it will get sold soon.

I swear candy companies are cutting back. My husband said I just thought candy bars were smaller than when we were kids because we grew up, but I did some research and the bars WERE bigger! And creamier! For 5 cents I could get a really yummy treat. With the concern about fat contest companies have probably cut back on the fat, as well as perhaps using less quality ingredients. I can eat chocolate but not if it contains eggs, wheat, peanuts or corn syrup!

The only memorable fundraising chocolate I remember is the World's Finest brand. XD Maybe because that's the most recent I've delt with. Waaaaaaaaaaaiiiiit a minute... so you have chocolate in your garage? That you are selling? >.> Like... to anybody, if they were willing to pay the price per choco and the shipping just to get it to them too? *COUGH* hint hint

It's not just the candy companies, everybody is doing it. Everything is getting so small and so cheap. =< I used to love bagel bites as a kid but over time the taste changed so much! A lot of these people are cutting back fat but they're adding too much sodium, too. ;~; I remember you telling me that, you're pretty limited on your chocolates, but you do know some really delicious ones you CAN have~

I'm sending you a note about some information regarding chocolates

World's Finest was purchased by Reader's Digest to use in their fundraising division QSP, Quality School Plans. As far as I know they still own the copyright to it.

Hubby works for Great American Opportunities and some of the boxed chocolates they carry in the fundraising line are outstanding. Way too much of a temptation!!
