Description A HUGE sigh..... Riverside as walking along the canal in front of the Mansions. Our favorite resort on Property. Riverside Resort as part of Port Orleans. Do like French Quarter as well, as it is compact, as well as having wonderful buildings and the Dragon Pool, but the spread-out nature of Riverside with the lush award-winning landscaping, beautifully-themed buildings, many pools and big foodcourt, sports bar, resort giftshop and lobby, along with several bus-stops, has our hearts .

Port Orleans Riverside is a © of The Disney Corporation.

Lovely!! You completely captured the feel of Riverside without showing any of the buildings!! So amazing!
This has always been my favorite resort as well, but I could never quite explain why. When I read your reasons, I was like \"YES!!! That\'s exactly why!!!\"

It is my absolute favorite resort just because of the beauty and how it feels as if it were "off the beaten path". I would like to try Pop Century just once to have time for a lot of pictures. Have been over there to eat at the food court and to take pictures but with an old camera so the files are small. Thanks so very much for the

Ohhh, this is absolutely gorgeous... I hope that when I visit Disney again, we could stay in a place like this! Well, not outside, there might be bugs... but you know what I mean~ This does look very lush, and I could see why it'd win awards!

~ yes, I wouldn't recommend using a sleeping bag. There are mutant life forms in Florida ~ it is gorgeous and this is a moderate resort only being a bit more than the value resorts. The rooms include a refrigerator, which has to be paid for at a value resort, are larger and have wonderful views. The whole place just takes my breath away.

Riverside is our favorite resort at Walt Disney World. It is so quiet and beautiful and relaxing. It is one resort that appears to be secluded and not so involved with the hustle and bustle of the parks. Thank you so much for the ~

Thank you. So peaceful. So quiet. So serene. Love it there... which is why my daughter and I are going back in September. Hubby has to work and he only "does Disney" every couple years now. He used to go more often but he would rather stay home . Not me. I like the fast-pace of the Parks then the calmness of the resort for a mid-day swim and quiet in the early morning!

Thank you . I feel the same way about Riverside. French Quarter is nice, too, along with The Wilderness Lodge. Have stayed several times in the All-Stars but they are usually packed with teams getting up early to practice and always busy and not anywhere as quiet as Riverside. Thank you for the , too!

your welcome! I hope I get to go there next week when I go to Disney. my second fav would probably be Fort Wilderness because I love the campground and ranch. it's nice to get away from the hussle and crowds and relax.

Would like to stay in one of the trailers at FW one of these days. Have seen Hoop de doo twice and have toured around the campgrounds and have seen the horses but never stayed the night. It looks peaceful there, too. To me Saratoga Springs, Yacht and Beach and Boardwalk are just too close to the clubs and the hub-bub. Tina lived on High Street for two years and it was just too noisy from the Sports Bars and restaurants to get any peace and quiet so now she is moving to a quieter place in order to finish her dissertation. There is nothing like being able to relax in the evening!!

Have a wonderful time on your trip!

Thank you ~ can tell you after a long day touring the Parks it is awesome to come to a quiet resort, take a swim in the quiet pool, shower and lay down on a comfy bed to be ready to start touring again the next day. Tina and I did laundry between 2:30 and 4 AM one night and were not the only ones in the pool. As long as we're out the door before noon following laundry time that is fine by me. If we get up early to tour I like to come back to the resort, swim and rest before going back out into the heat and humidity!

It absolutely is a wonderful, beautiful and relaxing place. You feel like you have the resort to yourself, albeit there so many buildings in both the Alligator Bayou and the Mansions. You'll have to drive over and check it out one of these days. The restaurant is Boatwright's and it has awesome food. Have eaten there numerous of times. A friend recommended Riverside to us when it was still called Dixie Landings, but after Sept 11th it closed for two years so we stayed at the All-Stars like five times, but there isn't a better place to stay on Property than Riverside. It is so spread out, so shaded, so quiet. The Wilderness Lodge is really nice and like Animal Kingdom Lodge too, but for shear quiet and relaxation I vote for Riverside every time. Remember we'll be there from September 9th through the 19th so you're more than welcome to come over for a swim or maybe we can meet you someplace!! I'll note you the cell phone numbers.

Riverside is part of Port Orleans. It is Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter, all part of the many resorts at Walt Disney World. I have additional pictures on my stock site, and Tina has a whole lot of them on hers *Disney-Stock and you can link to Allearsnet.com and click on the left for Walt Disney World Resorts ~ Moderate ~ Riverside to see descriptions and pictures.

It is so quiet there and spread out. Totally relaxing. There is a boat that takes guests to The French Quarter and back, as well as to Downtown Disney Village, and the bus system takes guests all over Property. It feels like a luxury resort for a moderate price. I love it there.

It truly is. We've stayed there a number of times and are due back next month for a ten-night stay. Will be posting a bunch of pictures on my stock site and the Gazebo there is one of the best places to sit and read, draw or use the cell phone (some areas on Property are difficult to use a cell for some reason). I just adore that resort. Thank you kindly for the
