Description The front view of a needle point box I made for my niece's wedding reception to hold the various cards that were given them. I designed and made it myself, and am very very proud of it. It has since been used a few more times, and is awaiting the next wedding!

Wonderfully done! I made a wishing well for a cousin's wedding many years ago and it was the hit of the reception!

Thank you ~ this has been used a few times for weddings ~ I bet a wishing well looked adorable at the reception ~ have seen treasure chests to simple boxes wrapped in white with white ribbon ~ all sorts of good ideas out there!

What a great idea! It's so beautiful. I bet it looked great at your niece's wedding. The scalloped edges are a nice touch. ::inspires me to start needlepointing again:::

I do like to needlepoint and like to make up my own patterns. That way I get exactly what I want. I do cross-stitch, draw, paint and do murals, too, so it is often hard to get the time to sit down and complete a project. I have several different projects started that all need finishing but there isn't always time to do everything I want!!!! ~ Parks Gal

Thank you ~ I entered the needlepoint cake into the county fair years ago and it placed fourth. I call it Shelly's cake since I made it for my niece to use at her reception. It held a lot of cards of varying sizes ~ ~ Parks Gal

for the kind words about the Halloween and Wedding Cake ~ Your is awesome ! Was just getting ready to email my daughter to check out your site! Want to purchase the T-Shirt from the contest when it becomes available. Congratulations on the win! I really like retro, which is why my husband, daughter and I redid our kitchen in the "diner" look. My daughter did the floor in the B&W tile at an angle as per my request, then after stripping the floor found out the builder used roof tar to put down the tiles that were there, ergo the underlying flooring ended up partially damaged and then to add insult to injury the kitchen was uneven. Regardless, she did a great job and the result was fab ! I've marked your site as a so I can keep up with your ! ~ Parks Gal
