Hey guys~! Mage here with anouther set of wonderful vibrant charaters! And what a contrast of charaters we have here! As some of you might know my friend is holding a contest to celebrate the ending of her frist volume "Inhertiance"! In this contest we were asked with picking from one of the catagories being: "Humen, Guardian, and Parasite!" As someone who has been a close friend with her for many years, have seen her through thick and thin, not to mention haveing a fondness for the story itself I just couldn't resits makeing some ocs for the contest! I'm not worried about winning or loseing cause I generaly just want to celebrate my friends sucess! That and I just want to draw ocs and have fun with it~! <3 So, here we are! Contest Link: Contest Themes and GuidelinesI may as well announce this now. After all, I can't seem to win a competition or contest of any kind to save my damn life, I may as well host one.We're close enough to the end of this first volume where I can announce the contest themes and guidelines.This is not, I repeat, NOT the start of the contest. This is a big contest so I want to make sure everyone has time to think about what they want to do and how they want to do it.So this is a create a character contest. I know that seems to be an odd theme but you'll see why I chose it soon.You will have the option to create 3 kinds of characters- A Human- A Guardian- A ParasiteBelow I will list the guidelines for each character. I've tried to write it so it's not too confusing or drawn out.And I will announce the prizes shortly before the contest starts so I hope you're excited for those For a Human character⦁ Should be pretty straightforward.If you choose to go with a human character, remember that Inheritance takes place in 1792, so appropriate clothes are a must. That's not to say they have to be boring grey peasant clothes. You can get creative, in fact, I encourage it! They also don't have to be 100% perfectly accurate. It is anime-inspired after all lol. Just make sure they are MOSTLY period appropriate.No jeans, t-shirts, crocs, etc...You get the idea.⦁ Your character IS allowed to be from another country. Inheritance does take place in France but I don't mind if you want to make a character from another country. ⦁ The French Revolution was still going on, so you could play around with that idea a bit.⦁ Unnatural hair colors are allowed but there should be a reason for it. Obviously, bright blue hair doesn't happen naturally but so long as you have a "how" and "why" then I'll allow it ^^ If you want to make a Guardian⦁ All guardians can control one element which includes but is not limited to.-Fire-Water-Earth-Wind-Ice/Snow-Lightning-Plant-Sandetc.As long as it's something naturally occurring, it can be something they can control. Only one element per guardian.Each guardian also has their own unique weapon.⦁ Guardian names are names of natural elements in different languagesExamples--Neige means "Snow" in French-Ame means "Rain" in Japanese-Rana means "Sun" in HausanAnd so and so forth. It can be any language, so long as it's the name of something natural.You are allowed to re-use the themes, so long as they're in a different language. So you can have a character whose name means snow so long as it's a different language.Names currently in use-Kohav (Star)-Lani (Sky)-Livadia (Meadow)-Matagi (Wind)-Petrus (Stone)-Mahina (Moon)-Nix-Feng-Baran-Illanga⦁ You can get really creative with their designs. Alright so now onto some rules.I know most of these are obvious and most of you probably wouldn't do these but I'm going to state them anyway.It is possible I missed something but I'm hoping you get the gist. If you have ANY questions or concerns, please let me know.- I want everyone to get creative and have fun but please use your good sense and judgement when designing. This is a dark story but please no Satanic or actual evil imagery otherwise you'll be asked to remove it. This includes but is not limited to⦁ Inverted crosses (Yes I am aware it's also the cross of Saint Peter but I'd rather you didn't use it.)⦁ Pentagrams/Pentacles⦁ Goat skulls or heads (Other animal skulls are allowed) A healthy competitive spirit is a must. Please show respect and grace to your competitors even if you don't win. Please don't bring real-world political messages or statements into your design or into the character. If you have any questions regarding this, please ask. Please respect the story and characters you are designing for. Many of you know me on a fairly personal level and you know what content I'm okay with and what I'm not okay with. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please ask me. I'd rather you ask and it gets resolved rather than not asking me and ending up having a problem.- You WILL be disqualified if you break the rules intentionally and/or maliciously.You will be pulled out of the competition and will not be allowed to enter future competitions. Age: Very unknown but, she would have been fairly old sprite had she survived.
Age born: Unknown but, her clothes hint at perhapse being born simlier to an area simlier to Meilings or, were adapted to appaer as such. She was born long before the start of even "Black Rose".
Status: Deceased
Reason of death: Killed/Tricked by a Parasite
Weapon: Wind and asian styled fans~
Frist Apperance: Inhertience
Hair Color: Jade green with streack of a forest green in them
Eye Color: Green-Blue

Bio(Before Inhertieance): Just like most Sprites Aella was brought into this world via the gaurdian mother Zira, a child-like sprite that was very free-willed like that of the wind. A beautiful child with bright eyes that had been brought into the world one that Zira like all her children she welcome with open arms as upon Aella frist interaction with Zira the sprite made it clear that she was very loveing and playful should she be allowed to grow only good things were laid down in her path. Aella when her eyes opened for the frist time and they came upon Zira, the woman that was her mother by all rights she felt absolutely comfterable if not very affectionate with her hugging the older sprite the moment she saw her with her own eyes, a feeling of safty around her as she did this action as her laugh held an air of an almost joyous infection to it. It wasn't long before Aella was brought back to "The graudian santuary" where she was introduced to many of her brothers, and sisters of whice she admired or, looked up to impressed if not excited by the many talents they could do bringing out even more of her care-free if not free-will nature to the surface showing affection to all those who were around her. Some thought Aella was a bit to nice or clingy but, they knew it came from a good place as the sprite always had something "Wonderful" or "Nice" to say about each member of the santuary uncareing if many thought she was a bit navie if not air-headed she took it all with grace if not a loud wonderous laugh. When Zira went to go and hunt down Izar, Aella would show concern about her mother often wondering when she would come home next as Aella went out of her way to leave gifts for Zira such as flower or, other small trikents she thought her mother would like not careing if they ever were received but, more wanting to let her mother know that even far away she was loved and missed deeply. While Zira did not come back often, and was not often around ocassionaly she did retrieve Aella gifts a gesture she found to be rather sweet from the sprite, she would also allow the sprite to hang off her ocassionaly if she was up to it as Aella was very attched to her but, she found this new addtion to be full of life and enjoied her company like many of the others she brought into the world. However, Aella despit being well liked by the sprites around her felt, lonely and partial empty a feeling she couldn't quite shake despit her best efforts to...

No matter what she did she felt like she was missing a part of her, almost like she was missing anouther half, she confided in some graudians and even Zira herself about this feeling because she didn't understand why she always felt like a larger part of her missing. Matagi over-thought her words scareing her almost to death with his "Worst case" sceniro thinking that maybe something was wrong with her, that maybe something went "Wrong" when Zira made her, or a varity of other things that annoiued other graudians like Ame and Rana who told her not to let this idoits words frighten her as thier mother didn't make "Mistake". Aella still worried sought out her mother the next time she came asking her mother, if something was wrong because of the way she felt and telling her all that Matagi told her as his words had scared her tremendoulsy as well as put doubt in her head that maybe she wasn't going to be of any use in thier home. Aella confided in Zira that she felt like a large part of her was missing, almost like she wasn't complete and her worries that maybe she was bhorn "Useless" a worry that Zira was able to quell easily enough as she let her child sit beside her so that they could talk. Zira told Aella that she wasn't "Useless" and that despit Matagi head going off on dangerous "What Ifs" he meant well simple wanting to see that Aella was taken care of if not survive for years to come but, as for her feeling half empty she assumed that maybe Aella was waiting for something to come into her life that made her feel "Whole". Perhapse a certain siblings, or maybe even soemthing else like an animal compaion, whatever it was Zira assured her that Aella would find that "Missing Half" of herself in time and that she should just put it aside and focus on just being herself while makeing friends along the way. Reassured by her Aella did as her mother ask not knowing that Zira would be right in what she had perdicted as the years went on Aella managed to become close friends with many of the gaurdians includeing Matagi who she adored hanging out with and napping with always enjoing herself when she was with him as she often called him "Older brother" sometimes even hanging off him like one's little sister did with an older sibling. Matagi enjoied Aella company and they always had lots of fun togather or, enjoyable naps togather though sometimes Matagi worried ramblings were often time draining Aella was always kind to him and offered positive feedback to his negative outlooks. Turely Matagi opposite when it came to the worse case scenrio. Often times Aella got under the skin of anouther graudian Rana as Aella had way to much playing around whice always ended up with her oddly near the libary incureing Rana fury half the time at her as Aella had a bas tendancy to use her wind elemental close by whice kncoked books over, undid scrolls and other rather small things. Anytime this happened she sought shelter with Matagi scared to death at Rana fury as for her realshionship with Ame and Neige? Well, sometimes she and Neige combined thier abiltites to have loads of fun useing it to enjoy thier time togather as they made it feel like it was snowing in a strong windy storm, again sometimes this ended up being way to close to the libary incureing Rana's warth so they did thier best to not be close due to her reputation. Ame and Aella were alright with one anouther, while they were not super close Ame did enjoy Aella positive outlooks that counteracted Matagi negative ones so they were on good standing with one anouther.

Years after slowly getting used to her role, did Zira bring home a new graudian to the santaury. A beautiful girl mostly in blue, and what stood out about the girl to Aella when she frist saw her was not her expressionless face, her attire or anything it was the fact that this was the frist time that it had rained and the rain... Made this new graudian stand out to her, the rain almost seemed to dance around her like the storm above was welcoeming her with wide open arms and the girl? When she looked up to the sky, thier was a look in her eyes, a look that said in the darkest part of the storm she would thrive, she would grow and she would become something tremendoulsy powerful and yet she also sensed that this graudian like her, was missing part of herself... It was that frist meeting that Aella partically lacthed onto her, smieling and welcomeing the new gruaidan with wide grande gestures of love, affection and geuine joy as she hugged her tightly, the feeling of missing half of her feeling like it was being washed away and for this girl just brought into the world... She oddly felt the same feeling as Aella and this gruaidan were hardly EVER seen without each other, always togather doign whatever it was from training with thier elements, causeing trouble to other graudians or just enjoying thier time with thier siblings. Despit the new graudian she was rather quiet not talking unless talked directly to, Aella encoruageing her to speack more and enjoy time with other graudians but, even when the other did it wasn't long before they were togather again, and for them they wished the years had gone on like that forever unfortunately those days would come to an end when two events forced Aella into the arms of the dangers the graudians sought to destory....Aella was a very loveing sprite, and had she been able to live past a certain age she would have been a wonderful guardian however it was because of Aella gaint heart that she was easily deceived by that of a parasite who had used her navity to take advantage of her and kill her. Aella was trying to train her abilitites as she wanted to join graudians out in the feild in combat but, no matter how much she trained she couldn't seem to cut down the targets she was useing her abilitites of wind, this fusrated her as she wasn't sure why trees and fake targets were not sliced down like they were with Matagi, still she persisted on continuiously trying to do it. Her friend suggested that maybe she was not meant to be a "Fighter" telling her that some of the older graudians belived Aella might be something differently entirely but, Aella was determined to go out and fight the parasites like the others and so, despit her friend belive that Aella talents were bested suited elsewhere she continuied cheering on joining her ocassional for pratices. It wasn't untill one day that Aella found out a shocking discovery from Neige about her friend that pushed Aella out of the santaury that day as one day when the sprite went looking for her friend she overheard Neige talkign with her asking her friend why she was "Purposely" holding back her abilities as it was clear to many that between Aella and her.... That she was the one that was most likely going to be able to be one of the few who travled and "Fought" parasites, before the other could tell neige they had noticed Aella had listened, torn if not hurt thinking her cloest friend had betried her she and her friend began to fight Aella yelling echoing like the raor of wind. Her friend tried to tell her it wasn't like that, that she legitmately had a reason "Why" she had not told Aella about how she might be alot stronger then she though but, being young Aella refused to listen and ran off before hearing the whole story, this event pushed Aella too meet the parasite that eventually tricked and killed her.

Aella found herself deep withen the woods, hurt and feeling betried by her friend that she thought was her cloest alley in the santuary but, deep down she could never hate her... Aella was hurt and felt slighted as she wandered the woods unwittingly comeing across teritory of a parasite hunting grounds at whice point the parasite stalked her, oberserveing her from afar and essessed her state of mind before it eventually came out to meet her. Aella at frist was very wary of the parasite keeping herself away from it, but the parasite had many centuries under its belt being born to the beging of the frist age of Pirates with continuious growing power the longer it lived on as well as a cunning mind that was used to useing all manner of tricks with each era going by getting more tricky if not dangerous so it knew very well how to use what it had to convice or "Trick" someone into beliveing what it wanted so, useing its charism if not silver tounge it spoke out to Aella. The parasite pretended to be aplogetic, telling her it meant no harm to her even going as far as to disarming itself in front of her confussing Aella as everything she heard about parasites this one was seeming to unravel unaware that she was being pulled into a long-con game by it as this parasite was far wiser then she was and it was good at what it did. Aella made the mistake beiveing him giveing the parasite enough room if not chance to get closer to her because she belived it turely meant her no harm the parasite made poliet conversastion with her, inquireing about her, trying to keep Aella from seeing its ture intentions untill the Parasite saw a crack in Aella netural anwsers calling out how Aella seemed hurt by something because of her eyes showing that she been crying. The parasite made a geuss that someone "Close" had hurt her Aella unable to keep a stoic face gave enough of a reaction for the Parasite to feed off more eventually worming his way in as he managed to get Aella to confess and confide what had happened to him, a weakness it exploited by telling Aella lies about her own kind and trying to make her queastion her loyalties to her family asking her if she acutally "Seen" one of his kind kill someone or, do something evil while also adding that "Just because one of my kind if bad dosen't mean we all are...~ I mean... In Evil thier is good right...? So, dosen't it stand to reason that some of my kind are "Good" while some of yours are "Bad"?

Aella still worried sought out her mother the next time she came asking her mother, if something was wrong because of the way she felt and telling her all that Matagi told her as his words had scared her tremendoulsy as well as put doubt in her head that maybe she wasn't going to be of any use in thier home. Aella confided in Zira that she felt like a large part of her was missing, almost like she wasn't complete and her worries that maybe she was bhorn "Useless" a worry that Zira was able to quell easily enough as she let her child sit beside her so that they could talk. Zira told Aella that she wasn't "Useless" and that despit Matagi head going off on dangerous "What Ifs" he meant well simple wanting to see that Aella was taken care of if not survive for years to come but, as for her feeling half empty she assumed that maybe Aella was waiting for something to come into her life that made her feel "Whole". Perhapse a certain siblings, or maybe even soemthing else like an animal compaion, whatever it was Zira assured her that Aella would find that "Missing Half" of herself in time and that she should just put it aside and focus on just being herself while makeing friends along the way. Reassured by her Aella did as her mother ask not knowing that Zira would be right in what she had perdicted as the years went on Aella managed to become close friends with many of the gaurdians includeing Matagi who she adored hanging out with and napping with always enjoing herself when she was with him as she often called him "Older brother" sometimes even hanging off him like one's little sister did with an older sibling. Matagi enjoied Aella company and they always had lots of fun togather or, enjoyable naps togather though sometimes Matagi worried ramblings were often time draining Aella was always kind to him and offered positive feedback to his negative outlooks. Turely Matagi opposite when it came to the worse case scenrio. Often times Aella got under the skin of anouther graudian Rana as Aella had way to much playing around whice always ended up with her oddly near the libary incureing Rana fury half the time at her as Aella had a bas tendancy to use her wind elemental close by whice kncoked books over, undid scrolls and other rather small things. Anytime this happened she sought shelter with Matagi scared to death at Rana fury as for her realshionship with Ame and Neige? Well, sometimes she and Neige combined thier abiltites to have loads of fun useing it to enjoy thier time togather as they made it feel like it was snowing in a strong windy storm, again sometimes this ended up being way to close to the libary incureing Rana's warth so they did thier best to not be close due to her reputation. Ame and Aella were alright with one anouther, while they were not super close Ame did enjoy Aella positive outlooks that counteracted Matagi negative ones so they were on good standing with one anouther.

Years after slowly getting used to her role, did Zira bring home a new graudian to the santaury. A beautiful girl mostly in blue, and what stood out about the girl to Aella when she frist saw her was not her expressionless face, her attire or anything it was the fact that this was the frist time that it had rained and the rain... Made this new graudian stand out to her, the rain almost seemed to dance around her like the storm above was welcoeming her with wide open arms and the girl? When she looked up to the sky, thier was a look in her eyes, a look that said in the darkest part of the storm she would thrive, she would grow and she would become something tremendoulsy powerful and yet she also sensed that this graudian like her, was missing part of herself... It was that frist meeting that Aella partically lacthed onto her, smieling and welcomeing the new gruaidan with wide grande gestures of love, affection and geuine joy as she hugged her tightly, the feeling of missing half of her feeling like it was being washed away and for this girl just brought into the world... She oddly felt the same feeling as Aella and this gruaidan were hardly EVER seen without each other, always togather doign whatever it was from training with thier elements, causeing trouble to other graudians or just enjoying thier time with thier siblings. Despit the new graudian she was rather quiet not talking unless talked directly to, Aella encoruageing her to speack more and enjoy time with other graudians but, even when the other did it wasn't long before they were togather again, and for them they wished the years had gone on like that forever unfortunately those days would come to an end when two events forced Aella into the arms of the dangers the graudians sought to destory....Aella was a very loveing sprite, and had she been able to live past a certain age she would have been a wonderful guardian however it was because of Aella gaint heart that she was easily deceived by that of a parasite who had used her navity to take advantage of her and kill her. Aella was trying to train her abilitites as she wanted to join graudians out in the feild in combat but, no matter how much she trained she couldn't seem to cut down the targets she was useing her abilitites of wind, this fusrated her as she wasn't sure why trees and fake targets were not sliced down like they were with Matagi, still she persisted on continuiously trying to do it. Her friend suggested that maybe she was not meant to be a "Fighter" telling her that some of the older graudians belived Aella might be something differently entirely but, Aella was determined to go out and fight the parasites like the others and so, despit her friend belive that Aella talents were bested suited elsewhere she continuied cheering on joining her ocassional for pratices. It wasn't untill one day that Aella found out a shocking discovery from Neige about her friend that pushed Aella out of the santaury that day as one day when the sprite went looking for her friend she overheard Neige talkign with her asking her friend why she was "Purposely" holding back her abilities as it was clear to many that between Aella and her.... That she was the one that was most likely going to be able to be one of the few who travled and "Fought" parasites, before the other could tell neige they had noticed Aella had listened, torn if not hurt thinking her cloest friend had betried her she and her friend began to fight Aella yelling echoing like the raor of wind. Her friend tried to tell her it wasn't like that, that she legitmately had a reason "Why" she had not told Aella about how she might be alot stronger then she though but, being young Aella refused to listen and ran off before hearing the whole story, this event pushed Aella too meet the parasite that eventually tricked and killed her.

Aella found herself deep withen the woods, hurt and feeling betried by her friend that she thought was her cloest alley in the santuary but, deep down she could never hate her... Aella was hurt and felt slighted as she wandered the woods unwittingly comeing across teritory of a parasite hunting grounds at whice point the parasite stalked her, oberserveing her from afar and essessed her state of mind before it eventually came out to meet her. Aella at frist was very wary of the parasite keeping herself away from it, but the parasite had many centuries under its belt being born to the beging of the frist age of Pirates with continuious growing power the longer it lived on as well as a cunning mind that was used to useing all manner of tricks with each era going by getting more tricky if not dangerous so it knew very well how to use what it had to convice or "Trick" someone into beliveing what it wanted so, useing its charism if not silver tounge it spoke out to Aella. The parasite pretended to be aplogetic, telling her it meant no harm to her even going as far as to disarming itself in front of her confussing Aella as everything she heard about parasites this one was seeming to unravel unaware that she was being pulled into a long-con game by it as this parasite was far wiser then she was and it was good at what it did. Aella made the mistake beiveing him giveing the parasite enough room if not chance to get closer to her because she belived it turely meant her no harm the parasite made poliet conversastion with her, inquireing about her, trying to keep Aella from seeing its ture intentions untill the Parasite saw a crack in Aella netural anwsers calling out how Aella seemed hurt by something because of her eyes showing that she been crying. The parasite made a geuss that someone "Close" had hurt her Aella unable to keep a stoic face gave enough of a reaction for the Parasite to feed off more eventually worming his way in as he managed to get Aella to confess and confide what had happened to him, a weakness it exploited by telling Aella lies about her own kind and trying to make her queastion her loyalties to her family asking her if she acutally "Seen" one of his kind kill someone or, do something evil while also adding that "Just because one of my kind if bad dosen't mean we all are...~ I mean... In Evil thier is good right...? So, dosen't it stand to reason that some of my kind are "Good" while some of yours are "Bad"?
