I was recently speaking with a friend about Ari, and I mentioned she had a rainbow colored rosebush, so I thought I would discuss it further. You see, when Ardaigh left Rosellia, she brought with her a single, tiny seed from the Royal Rosellian Rosebush. This particular rosebush was the pride and joy of Rosellia. It was created by Ari's mother, Queen Alaina, long before Ari was born. This beautiful plant grows roses of every hue, and some say that it this rosebush once shared it's colors with all of the flowers in Rosellia. However, it was the only one in the entire kingdom that grew golden flowers. After coming to Avallone, Ardaigh planted the seed from her mother's rosebush in the royal garden, using her Flower Magic to help it grow and bloom. Ari spends a great deal of time tending to it now, keeping it healthy and safe. However, the new rosebush does not bear the same bold, bright colors as the original. Instead, it's colors appear a bit faded. But, Ari still tends to it, trying to restore the colors she remembers.

It is rumored that when King Cold took over Rosellia, he destroyed the original rosebush, thus destroying the magic it shared with the land. Others believe that it still grows, that King Cold is afraid to let it die, for it may hold the key to power in the kingdom. No one knows for sure, but Ari still has faith that it grows somewhere, fed by the love and hope that Queen Alaina put into it.

I would like to extend a hand of generosity to the court, and offer some of these beautiful roses to the new friends I've made here in the Fancy Pants Kingdom. If you would like one, please, let me know, and I would be happy to design you a new outfit to go with it! I just need to know what color you would like. A very special thing about these roses is that after they're cut, they never wilt, so your gift will last forever.
