Description
As twilight emerges on the plains of Tanzania, we see an African civet that is on the hunt. Even though it is listed as least concern, some African civets are kept for producing civetone for the perfume industry. As a nocturnal predator, the African civet is one of the few carnivores capable of eating toxic invertebrates, such as termites and millipedes. When threatened, the African civet raises its dorsal crest to make itself look larger and thus more formidable and dangerous to attack.
