Appearance: A thin and beautiful young Lady. Very long legs and large eyes. She takes care to look after her appearance and always presentable, but also modest. She doesn't want to draw attention to herself, largely due to her commoner roots. Her hair is straight a lot like her father's.

~~

Personality:
  • Vain - Tuscette is beautiful, by Glenmore standards. She has been told this her entire life, and she knows very well that it’s true. This is the feature about herself that she believes is most valuable and important, her greatest redeeming quality, therefore she takes very good care to ensure she stays this way. She sees herself as a delicate flower that others should be eager to protect.
  • Pampered - Tuscette is very used to being waited upon and have her every wish granted. She lives an easy life and wants for nothing.
  • Entitled - she believes she deserves the best, being the daughter of a count, and is taught that her father will choose the finest stag in the land for her to wed. She wants nothing less.
  • Traditional - Tuscette was taught to stand around and look pretty, she suppresses her opinion and acts to please stags and superiors. She knows that her ultimate goal is to someday serve her family by being given to a royal stag and from there making her family proud (both her new family and old) by providing that stag with quality children. Despite her lineage, she does not have an interest in interacting with commoners, and does not acknowledge that her mother was a commoner.
  • Dutiful and Quiet - Tuscette is quiet and keeps largely to herself. After all, does are better seen and not heard
  • Impersonal - Perhaps due to her somewhat early separation from her mother, though largely how her father isolates her from the world, Tuscette is not very emotional nor does she tend to get attached to others. She doesn’t even know what romance is and has no yearning for it, nor does she understand or pay much mind to any sort of bond fawnlings can share. She is just eager to do her part for the good of her family. That’s the only love she knows.
  • Kind - Tuscette is naturally quite sweet. She is not particularly empathetic and she is much more likely to keep to herself than go out of her way to help another, but when a situation arises she is a compassionate friend and she is very reluctant to be harmful to others (other royals, that is, commoners while she wouldn’t be cruel she doesn’t think much of being rude to them). Despite the behavior of her father, this is partly due to his teachings, as he emphasizes that a doe should be kind and supportive.
  • Insightful - Tuscette is naturally perceptive and sensitive, often able to notice subtle shifts in the moods of others, differences in how they treat some rather than others, and she is impacted by this. Perhaps due to how quiet she is, she had learned to observe…

History:
Since her mother left at an early age, and since there was no one really responsible to speak up for her well-being as an individual, Tuscette is raised largely by Tuscan himself or by his directive. Tuscan believes deep down that Tuscette is inadequate because her mother willingly chose to leave her behind which causes him to question her worth, and just as significantly Tuscan lost Tuscette's mother in a rut battle, and feels a a good amount of guilt for being unable to keep the family together and Tuscette is a living reminder of his failure (also since he also grew up without a mother so it upsets him). Plus her mother was a commoner so he's somewhat embarrassed to admit that he fought for her at all, nevermind losing. Tuscan has eyed the filly with a particular criticism ever since and is quick to dismiss her. Tuscette senses this distance and disapproval but doesn’t know why it’s there. It only makes her more eager to prove herself, but it also hurts.

To compensate for his insecurities, and due to her bearing his namesake (something he now regrets doing), Tuscan became eager to prove that his daughter will be one of the finest Ladies. She won’t be just any Lady to be squabbled over by lowly stags, he’ll treat her like a princess, train her to perfection, keep her commoner lineage on the downlow, keep her in his possession until he finds a high standing Lord to gift her to so she can assist in forwarding the family.

And so she is raised to be Tuscan's idea of an ideal royal doe, and Tuscan often lets her know her destiny of making their family proud. Most often Tuscette is ordered to stay within the confines of the glade (especially as she grows older), with her only contact with others her age usually in the form of her siblings, or specifically planned play-dates with other Ladies and Princesses. This is Tuscan’s attempt to prevent her from gaining affection for Lords who may someday fight for her.

Tuscette is unique among her siblings with these restrictions and without her father's default approval, due to her circumstances and her lack of a mother figure to advocate for her. It bothers Tuscette to see her siblings with so much more freedom than herself, and with the support of their father without even having to try. One thing she is grateful for, however, is that Tuscan does seem to pay more attention to Tuscette than his other children… even if this attention is often in the form of criticism or instructions.
