very cool portrait, i faved it a few weeks ago but it's still a pleasure to see this photograph I'm surprised to see that this lens could give a nice sharp, unsharp mask helps a lot, anyway you did a great job Just tell me, where was the flash, in front of him (direct flash), or you flashed outhere (for example to the roof, or lateral). Thx for your answer

First of all, thanks for the fav I'm glad you like the photo. It is the result of drunken experimentation This was shot in a fairly narrow hallway. The flash was pointed directly behind me so it was bouncing off the wall behind me, it also had a diffusing filter over it. Unfortunately there was a gold light switch where the flash was pointed which was giving off a glow which shined on the wall but after covering that up the problem was fixed. Anyway the result of bouncing it off like that was a very soft, non-harsh light which almost eliminated all shadows. Do you use an external flash?

thx for your answer I use a 580EX, still experimenting with it. Actually it's quite to master it, in particular directly bounced on the subjects. I often use it in indirect but the result is quite random, depends on the wall, the color, the settings on the flash.... I'd like to have a good shot with it quickly but i'm not a master on artificial lights.. I used to learn how to manage natural lights, now it's time for the 580EX
