trying to work on my backgrounds... and i'm still flubbing up perspectives bigtime. i need to just sit down and draw some blackgrounds... no superheroes flying infront of them. >.<anyways. this is "iron spidey"... spiderman's new (probably temporary) costume. see here for an explanation. [link]

this looks wicked will! your bg's are getting more dynamic. the blacks on spidey are really well put as well. it does a great jorb of hinting at the musculature without looking random. i think one thing i might suggest is to make spidey's head looking up a little. because the shot is so dead on to his body, it gives the impression of looking a little stiff. but making the head tilt up would be an easy way to fix it without redoing anything too major to it. but that's just a really really small little thing. the image really stands on its own though.

thanks, joe! i agree and i think it's a problem i keep repeating (making poses very static). i have a tendancy to always make the subject face the viewer (or somewhere near the viewer). thank you for the crit!! ^_^

The drawing is great! And as said before if u hadn't mentiond it I woldn't notice anything either. But since this is 1000x times better then anythiyn I ever could draw I'm shutting the hell up

"(probably temporary)"? How can you say that? Just because it's basically a bribe for the now-coming Civil War crossover event, doesn't mean Spidey will be back in the webs any time soon. Anyway, we know the IronSpider-Man suit won't last. In issue 500, we saw his future garb.
S'why Strasinsky (sp?) put the Tailor bloke in a couple of comics back. Remind us of that.
But still, I think this suit will last LOADS longer than all his other ones. Maybe a year!

Sounds like Marvel is running out of ideas which is rather ironic in some extend.The perspective aren't so bad since it emphasized the gravity defying feel in the movie.
Great job on Iron Spider-Man for sure especially the strong metallic feel.

This looks fantastic. Backgrounds are very tough... I struggle with them more than anything. And as far as Spidey's costume goes, I say if it ain't broke...

chances are from the way they've been promoting this costume, it'll evovle into a new character... like Ben Reily's Scarlet Spider/Spiderman-variant, the Spider Slingers and Venom. i won't be surprised to see a Spider Man/ Iron Spidey team up. Speaking of which.... Spider man has so many variations that they all should form a team called Spiderman and the Amazing Wannabes.
aside from my opinion of the new costume, the anatomy is awesome and will look hot when inked. SO MUCH SOLID BLACK. oooooo. the detail on the buildings are great. the perspective isn't bad to a degree. my griepe if you ask me, would be how miss alined the buildings are that are near the foreground. something i myself suffer from. you made Iron Spidey WRONG!!!! he's supose to have dum spikes on his palms and stupid mechanical robot arms from his back. they're supose to be there!!! i don't make the rules, but they're there, they're there. so do as i say and make Iron Spidey they way I.... uh.. nah dude the palm spikes are retractable (at least from the comics i've been reading). as for those darn robot arm thingies... ok... yeah. i left those out on purpose. XD

I'm not a fan of the costume but you've crafted a nice pic there Will. Perspective is always a bitch to get right I find. That being said, the amount of pros that can't do it right is staggering. Any wee flubs in no way detract from the image itself, it's still great.

Man, it looks a LOT better without those metal arm things.
As for perspective, look at it this way, your art is already better than most of the promo art for Iron Spidey, as his heels aren't bending like someone broke them.

i couldn't quite figure out what was up with the metal arms. i actually started to draw them, but they seemed so out of place. the one pic i saw seemed like he only had 3. O.o weird.
