backgrounds, much like my coloring, always get rushed.just need to practice more. no big deal. anyways... just wanted to get this out of the way so it's not sitting there staring at me anymore.

That is awesome!! I haven't seen many people make an attempt on Iron Man but damn man, you nailed it pretty well. Um, if you don't mind my asking, would it be alright with you if I made an attempt at coloring it? If not that's cool, I know it's your artwork but if you let me color it I promise to do it justice.

What? Tony Starks is a millionaire playboy drunk. And I wouldn't have him any other way. Shame that Tommy Cruise isn't gonna play him any longer in the supposed movie Marvel plans to put out. Oh well, my money's on Ethan Hawke to take over the role.
Back to your piece. Love the pose, and the camera angle. Get a strong sense that IM is coming at you. Background doesn't lack too much either. Simple yet solid representation.

the way they are angled. they don't really look like they follow the rules of perspective well.

hmmmm... that i might have to disagree with you on. the tilted camera angle might be confusing you though. the horizon line is tilted and i gave it mulitple vanishing points. though, i admit a few of the lines are a bit off. as i said in the description... i rushed the background and i'm not very pleased with it over all.
course, not to be picky or anything, if you critique something, say specifically what you mean when you post a critique... otherwise the critique does no good. ^_^

Rushed background actually works for this. If he's flying really fast, the cityscape shouldn't be all that clear. You'd want him to be the main focus anyway. So, yeah, good job on this.
