Description Harris' Hawks are one of the few birds of prey that hunt cooperatively. It's quite common to see them in groups, unlike other raptors who will attack others of their species in their territory. It is believed the reason for this group-like behavior is to have a hunting advantage in the harsh desert.

So imagine their delight when this group found this gryphon! I can't help but imagine one of them having its heart set on having a moose for dinner and asking the big one to help catch one. Too bad they're too far south for moose!

Sorry for the delay in response, just noticed.

Harris Hawks form familial packs, and said packs hunt prey together, in a method similar to a pack of wolves hunting deer. Though with hawks instead of wolves and rabbits instead of deer.
