Description Okaaaay. Not sure how I came to draw this, but it happened. xD Totally random during my train journey home from work.
Holmes with canine missing singing in the bathtub. Or so. Whatever that is. xD
Enjoy.

That's what Holmes thought about it:

i looked up at holmes' house sketch. and i noticed one thing missing.. (actually 2 but the one of them is more important than the other).... where the heck is the bathroom?! then i went to wikipedia and saw the museum house version of sherlock. and guess what? he HAS a bathroom! but then another thing i noticed missing.... WHERE THE HECK DOES HE BATHE?!!.. the bathroom was too small to fit any tub. can you imagine that?!

btw, nice bath tub. is that how bath tubs looked at that time? very "holmes" like.Β
god i feel like a perv watching him

xD Hahahaha, I have seen these in museums and such but I could not be 100% sure that this IS Victorian. Looks a little more 1700th century to me.Β
But yes, of course there is a bathroom. Isn't there even a bathtub in the Baker Street Museum in London? But even if not, I don't think it was all to common to have one, and even if, that it was used a lot. I suspect that for more than a quick wash over the basin in his room, Holmes would have gone to a public bath (maybe that Turkish one he loved so much?).

Interestingly we see Holmes having a bath (WTF, fanservice?!?) in the Granada series, which takes place at his home. I think the bathroom, too. But since the door is open (you don't think much of privacy, eh, Holmes?) and we see Watson outside (they talk) ... it might be in his room. Hm, I think I'll have to check that again.

i knew it i knew it i knew it!! i thought if he didn't have a bath in his home, then maybe he goes to a public bath! i really don't know much about holmes' personality, but i didn't know that he is comfortable with the whole nudity thing XD my view of him changed alot now.Β Β

well, since you are the expert here, can you tell me where is the kitchen?Β Β
i wonder if he cooks? or he eats outside?

Hahahaha.
Well, public baths aren't "public". Each visitor had their own little separate booth for privacy. But maybe there was a public section, too?

Kitchen, kitchen. Definitely downstairs. I'd be inclined to place it even directly underneath Holmes' bedroom, really. OR possibly, if you came into the lodgings from the front door and rather than going up to Holmes' living room went straight ahead past the stairs, then there. This would mean there are more rooms at the "back" of the house and this would follow also the sort of British house layout of row-houses that I am familiar with. Maybe I need to draw more 221B blue-prints to show the whole building rather than just the living room.

And no, he wouldn't cook. He can, apparently (he cooks something while camping in the moor during the Hound of the Baskervilles [although he gets his food delivered, so it might be pre-cooked]) but he either goes out to dine or he has Mrs. Hudson serve food (housekeeper take care of that for their tenants.)Β

This is the most adorable picture I have seen this month :-D ... or maybe this half of a year.
Β Even our super-sleuth needs to chill out sometime. And his reactionΒ to the pictureΒ is priceless!

I don't know why, but I keep imagining him singing "O sole mio"...

I have little doubt that he can sing. And since he plays the violin at any time at home I am sure he isn't shy with singing in the bathtub. xD

Wind, this is awesome! But it's also so very funny, omg; the mere idea of Holmes doing this at some point is just too good. Wonder if Watson ever recorded such an instance but keeps it well hidden so Holmes would never find it? xD

Great work!

Ha, I am sure he has! xD Probably not literally, as I am not sure about recording equipment but... I can imagine him standing in front of the bathroom door, secretly listening.. xD

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... well... he soon may actually be back indeed. After all there will be a point of decision in the near future whether the new game is as good as the old or whether we better stick with the well known. xD

Arlesienne In reply to Windmaedchen [2014-02-01 21:02:54 +0000 UTC]

Even if T4 dissapoints us, there will always be FMs to play. It's incredible how big bang you get for your buck invested in the series. I admit it's probably the cheapest game. In my country, considering the exchange rate of US dollar is around 3 times my currency, all three games (including T1 Gold) plus all editors, every handbook released and the wallpapers cost 5 dollars maximum. Although I got mine for even less, a bit more than 3. I wonder what factor matters in this case: the date of release or just the public not mature enough to play Thief?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Windmaedchen In reply to Arlesienne [2014-02-02 11:40:36 +0000 UTC]

quite so! giving fans the chance to create FMs was the best idea ever! xD

oh my gosh i have no words for how fantastic that is!!! and his canine is missing! for some odd reason I always imagined Holmes having a fantastic voice, almost operatic. I bet when he was in school he was in the choir.

xD Brett!Holmes sings every now and then. Since he is musical I am sure Holmes can sing, but how good is another question.

GoodOldBaz In reply to Windmaedchen [2014-01-31 20:33:34 +0000 UTC]

yeah I know JB had a good voice, but that's not the kind of voice I imagine Holmes having. I imagine Holmes having a nice tenor voice, but that since his university days he rarely ever uses it.
