Thanks! It's all about using color balance effectively. As soon as I discovered that, it changed the way I work in Photoshop.

awesome to hear! i've known and used color balance a lot but mostly for adjusting photos of people with skin tones that are too red or green. but there are so many different ways to use things in photoshop. i'd love to see how you use it in this.

It's fairly simple:

Shadows - push more towards purples
Midtones - redish to purple
Highlights - push orange to yellow
