Lost paintings? Ouch, that's got to hurt. I lost a couple of pieces a long time ago and I still wonder where they went. For some reason my art stays with me, can't seem to let go of it. I guess it means too much to me.

Anyway, good work on this one and it's a shame you lost it. Very intense in a 70's laid back kind of way.

Beautiful work. Emotions radiate from the eyes and I find myself looking twice to make sure this is indeed just a painting. I almost want to look at my hands and say "out out damn spot"

Such intensity in the eyes. A very powerful use of lost edges.

I just adore the details in this - what big eyes he has aswell ^^, yet again - a shame they are lost.

Have you any Julius Ceaser? That is my next assignment in the way of Shakespeare

Of curse I have a Julius Caesar. Look for him in my gallery.

Carmelward In reply to WJSolha [2005-09-29 08:56:29 +0000 UTC]

I just went to see him ^_^ i canl believe I forgot about it actually. I do believe it is time I went on a pilgrimage though your gallery again, my friend. I really miss my computer and I can;t wait to up date my own galleria. I've a big sketchbook full of ideas waiting to be shown .
I just hope Julius Ceaser tuirn sout to be a good play - or at least better than bloody Macbeth! That drove me up the wall. So far though, it's proven to be no better a story. Oh woe is me...

so lovely! Is it in reference to Mel Gibson as Hamlet?

Oh, yes. Did you see the ZeffirelliΒ΄s "Hamlet"?

This reminds me of Mel Gibson when he played the role of Hamlet. A very fine painting.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WJSolha In reply to CaroleHumphreys [2005-09-25 10:08:51 +0000 UTC]

Yes, the reference is correct. In spite of he was not a good Hamlet. Lawrence Olivier is, yet, the best. Better than Branagh include in "Henry V"

I really hope that sometime you will consider putting up somewhere I real high defintion of one of your paintings, Id love tosee some of your brush strokes up close. I adore how you captured his emotion.

Oh, you canΒ΄t to see my brush strokes, because they are invisible. I saw peoples, in my exhibitions, trying to take off images of my paintings with the nails, thinking that they are photos of magazinesΒ΄cover, collages.
