Description
Part of a challenge over at to illustrate a scene from a book every month or so. Check it out!Anyway, I thought that the scene they had chosen would have worked well for the new style of digital drawing/painting that I'm working on, so I gave it a whirl. I haven't ever read the book it was based on, so my interpretation of the characters is probably all wrong. Oh well.

haha. Yeah... the fire is my favorite part too. I honestly spent more time figuring out the coloring on that then any of the characters.

Very cool, Dan. I love the way that the hair hangs on the drow, and the beautiful symplicity of the color scheme. The glowing eyes on the gnome rock!

Theres a slight Mignola feel-especially with the guys down the bottom. Again, I'm really liking this change in your colours-nice job with the creepy womans head here too-cool angle.
