Really good work. I couldn't even get close to making a simple whale out of felt.

Thanks! He isn't as smooth as I would like as the crocheted base interfered a little. What was the issue with the whale? There are some pretty good tutorials out there. Although, I would understand if the decision was based on not wanting hands like a colander.

"Hands like a colander" - that is the most beautiful one-phrase summary of needle felting I've ever heard. xD Beautiful work on the plush!

Thanks so much! I wish it wasn't true about the hands, brings new meaning to blood sweat and tears.

Oh, it's just that I'm bad at tracing the shapes of the whales, and it turned out not symmetrical.

Like tracing the shape onto a jumper or something?

Naw, it's like drawing shapes on paper, cut the shape, then trace the outlines of the paper on the felt then cut the felt where it was traced. I'm real bad at that.

I am a little confused as to where the error creeps in? Was the original outline a bit off? Scissors blunt?
