Description Taiwan Railways CK50 is a saturated tank engine purchased by the Taiwan Governor-General Railways for the railways of Taiwan. This 2-6-2T Prairie was built by Kisha Seizo from 1905 to 1912. When Taiwan was ruled by the Japanese, the West Coast line railway was constructed to the line segment. A total of 14 of these locomotives were purchased and became 50 type. 50 type locomotives are the same as JGR Class 3070. 50 50 type is a steam locomotive designed and successfully produced for the first time in automobile manufacturing. However, Kisha Seizo's BK10 class locomotive is the copy version of the British-built locomotive (JGR Class 400). In 1905, after the 50 and 51 locomotives arrived in Taiwan and successfully operated, they successively purchased 12 (52-63) locomotives. These 12 vehicles also added water tanks behind the cab, which can be regarded as the improved of the first two.

After the introduction of the 200 ( CT240) locomotive with better performance in 1912, the 50 model began to be used for vehicle scheduling and feeder driving. Later, they installed the Westinghouse Air Brakes on it. After Taiwan was liberated, the Taiwan Railways Administration classified all of them as CK50. CK58 is now preserved at the Takao Railway Museum in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
