Aside from the obvious awesomeness of a) the composition and detail as a whole, and b) the fact that it looks so good as a commissioned piece for Carlile's book, I think what I like most about this piece is the delicate range of subtle hues and variations in colour in the trees and foliage, from background to foreground. It's done absolutely beautifully I must say!
