First of a series showcasing my favorite chicks inked up. They're posing for charity.Here we have Alita (Gally), who's PROBABLY my favorite anime gal. Okay so definitely my favorite anime gal. I can't believe I haven't drawn her earlier.
"Alita had her motorball number permanently stamped into her chest piece, with a motorball etched below it and a purple background as a nod to her jersey color. Bordering that she has scrapyard wings, a tribute to Ido, her adoptive father. On her left arm she has the word 'Damascus' written above her damascus blade, a nod to Doc and a reminder that it's her impurities that give her strength."

aah I absolutely adore the manga of Battel angel alita, its one of my favourites since its so dark and very well drawn, its amazing how the author has made such a hopeless and kind of sad future world with a little spark of hope in it...oh well, thats just how I see it haha

I like how the lineart is blatantly visible- but subtle enough at the same time. I like how the background is non-obtrusive, so that all the focus can be put on the character!
