Character sheet for #Windsonde . I meant to make this back in September... Better late than never?

Character Name: Fain
Character Species Combination: Arctic Skua (Stercorarius parasiticus) / Caracal (Caracal Caracal )
Rank: Young Gryphon
Gender: Female
Character Personality: A cunning, scrappy gal. Boisterous and prone to raucous laughter. She favors agility over brawn and thievery over fighting. Even so, she won't shy from a challenge, especially among good company. Animated but capricious, her temperment shifts like the wind, often between good humored jests and scathing quips. She loves rum (or the Windsonde equivalent), raids, and eluding would-be captors.

Late reply is late!
I am not sure it was one second lineart, one second color. Maybe faster than it woulda been a year ago, though. Not sure I set-out to learn anything in particular, either, but it was a good practice in being less of a perfectionist about lineart. Since I've done this and a few other digital drawings - plus my figure drawing class last semester - I am finding I much more confident in my digital mark-making. Less concerned with perfection, and better able to capture the "essence" of whatever I'm trying to draw. It definitely feels likeΒ step in the direction I want to go. ^_^
Also, in this drawing, I discovered a texture for my "paper" that I really like; the effect reminds me a great deal of traditional gouache on illustration board, which I love.

Her design is incredibly beautiful! I just love what her tuffted ears do to her silhouette! So elegant for a scrappy gal!

Time, mostly, and the fact that I never finished one of the event trades, haha. I feel bad doing anything else until I finish it, but so far no luck.

I understand how hard it can be to finish something that was started and set-aside for so long. Perhaps instead of finishing it, you could try doing a new drawing instead? I had to do that for Fain's character sheet. XD

I have tried so many variations of the same drawing! And now guilt has me hung up in terrible ways on it, aaahahaa. D: Alas. Maybe someday! I haven't forgotten it, anyway.
