Description Version two of a realistic photomanip, of my version, of a Therianthrope/Lycanthrope/Werewolf/shapehifter. I felt that had to improve the other version as it was a bit rushed, and after I got some constructive critic Also, this is more of how I've been drawing werewolves on paper. They always come out different digital, so I used one of my paper sketches as reference. And I re-thought the paw concept into functioning paws and hands in one.

In the story that I'm writing this beast shape is called the Therion form (from the the Greek word theríon means "wild animal" or "beast".) And the other forms are called Waer; the feral form h-m-m.deviantart.com/gallery/4… , and Lycan; the more lean humanoid form. h-m-m.deviantart.com/art/Moonl… )

I like my design I have made for my werewolves/lycans/Therianthropes which have more human/primate like features. And this fella would be able to stand and walk around on it's hind-legs similar to a human.
Its roar is like one of a gorilla's. www.youtube.com/watch?v=miXPS2… And when it howls, it's deeper than that of a wolf, similar to a territorial roar of a lion. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U6prr…

Since humans and apes are related I liked the idea to make them more gorilla-ish and just a hint of wolf.
But still making them a werewolf which is not too human-like or not just a wolf on two legs.

Eh, at least I can't argue with that.

I love it. I always like to see original werewolf designs that break away from the usual wolf head, legs and tails on a human torso. Not that there's anything wrong with those, but it's nice to see something different once in a while.

Getting there! But the arms seem oddly... gorilesque. More like a werewolf bitten ape, than a werewolf bitten human.

Okay, I can respect that. Even if I wasn't going for werewolf bitten human since this is my own 'interpretation', and sort of 'species' of a werewolf I've come up with. So it's suppose to be gorilla like arms. These 'werewolves' can shapeshift because they inherent their powers through their genes (In that universe getting bitten by one does not turn the person, it's only in folklore it's said so.) That's why it's more primate than wolf. I Hope you'll understand.
But I'm curious, how would you describe the arms to be, if I where to make one that's more how you imagine them? It's interesting to see how each one prefer them to look like (different species and other things put aside the design)

If you weren't going for werewolf bitten human, then it's perfectly valid

Regarding my design choices, I thought you were going for an bitten human, so I should not try to imagine the arms if I don't know the "base" creature we're going from, in case they're shapeshifters as you said

I like this - it's very similar to my own thinking with my invented werewolf 'species' - they're humans who can revert to the form of a primitive, carnivorous hunting-ape ancestor.

I'm glad you do! Cool! I think it's the most logical thinking of a werewolf if it would be real and could co-exist with other people in the society without being found out every full moon hehe... Not saying that other's thoughts about it is wrong or how they prefer their werewolves to be and so on. But I like being scientific and such, and a human turning into a werewolf sure sounds like you wrote, turning into a primitive carnivorous hunting-ape ancestor. In my mind, the name werewolf (man-wolf) was come up by people who only had wolves, (and bears) as big predators in Europe to represent what they had seen, a man who became a monster with pointy ears and a claws - a big bad wolf. Not having anything to do with wolves really, well, maybe at some time in the gene-mix of that kind of extraordinary humans. ^^

That's EXACTLY the reasoning I came up with for the name! I think we ought to start wearing tinfoil hats XD

I love it! If werewolves do exist, I'd imagine they'd be a primate that looked exactly like this!
