I wasn't sure if I had actually uploaded a photo of my finished yarn tail, so here it is! Schatzi tail ^v^The fluffy part is about two feet long. It is so so so fluffy!
But it does need almost hourly brushing when I'm wearing it.

how much yarn is used for a tail that is a foot and a half long and has 3 inch 'fur' ?

I would estimate one typical skein if you're using Red Heart or one and a half of the smaller skeins like Lion or Caron.

Why, thank you! To be honest, I had pretty much no idea what I was doing with either the tail or the nose; I just made them up as I went along. The whole suit, actually. And I have no idea what I'm doing with the head either but it looks to be shaping up pretty well. ^v^
