Description This was the weather preparation before the eclipse. Lot of wind, but a lot of wind and dust, which is not very well captured here, but lot of wind and dust with a temperature of 3 ΒΊC or 37 ΒΊF. I was trying to walk to the tower you see at the bottom, where I took but it was impossible to take a pic here due the force of the wind, so I trenched behind a giant trunk, which was lying on the ground, and did this shot. Then I rode my bicycle at very high speed towards the tower and felt like Micky Knox in the movie NBK riding his horse towards the tornado!

Once again loving the apocalyptic feel here! That wind may have been a pain for you, but it did some wonderful things for your sense of depth in this image.

That sun being really big there and the noise in the sky bother me a bit though...

Haha... Yeah, this moment was really strange, and the thing that nobody, but nobody is there is damn creepy when having this kind of climate, at least for me

Heh, a scene completely devoid of human life, eh? That's the way I like it! The resulting shot just seems more creepy to everyone else if it was creepy for the photographer to begin with.

Absolute devoid... So devoid that you can be all the day there and see nobody else (that's why sooooo safe!). There are 7 Km from there to the near town. Lot of distance

I did a Century ride once in New Mexico where the bike was tilted in the crosswind but when you had the tail wind it was the greatest. Only thing better would have been downhill as well.

I just cannot get the meaning of your message. I guess this is the first time it happens to me in 2 years... Are you saying something like the wind pushed the bike? Or that, if the wind push your bike, that's the greatest

With the wind pushing and going downhill; life doesn't get much better for a cyclist.

Ahhhh Now I get it... Well the wind was that way you say when going to the tower, but when coming back was about 4 hours walking against the wind. Such a weird languaje difference, you have a name for the wind coming from behind which is "tail wind"? I know that tail is like the extension of the dorsal spine of animals, but the wind!?!?!?!? And the crosswind is another word I don't have an idea what it means, weird stuff

Think of them "a wind at the tail", "wind ito your head", and "wind coming across you".

Yeah, I searched in google in websites, not just translators and got the idea. Crosswind is equivalent to the wind that comes from one of the sides of a certain subject as reference. In Spanish, we say "The wind come from the side", for example
