Something I did a while ago out of boredom. =B

First, I broke my personal rule of not involving pop-stars in anything I do. However, Adam Lambert earned an exception from me, not only because he resembles my twins so much it's shocking, but because he's cute, and gay. And that earns him a heart from me.

That much being said! Explanation nobody asked for:

Main Characters:

Aleksei Zel'dovich - Cillian Murphy
Best Known For: Kitty Braden (Breakfast on Pluto), Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow (Batman Begins), Dillinger Jr. (Tron Legacy)
Why: This man is the most androgynous, flexible actor I've ever seen. I saw him as Jonathan Crane and it knocked me out how clinical and bored he managed to look while also being strikingly 'pretty', and how easily he flipped to batshit crazy. IRL, he's known for being a little antisocial (due to shyness), which works out well for the role of a murderous, antisocial chemist. Bonus points for Breakfast on Pluto, where he plays a transvestite--to the point of being a trap.

Boz and Kolya - Adam Lambert
Best Known For: American Idol finalist, Fiyero (Wicked)
Why: I didn't even know who Adam Lambert was until I ran across a picture of him, and it looked so much like the twins' public persona, Angel Phoenix, that I fell out of my seat. The fearlessness and attitude he broadcasts are downright perfect. While his voice is a little too high, he has the range of personality and theater background to play two very different people, one flamboyant and obnoxious, one depressive and reserved, as well as being just out there enough to pull off Angel Phoenix too. Three for one special. PLUS, he comes gay standard, which helps with my respectively gay and omnisexual twins.

Vova Koretsov - Daniel Cudmore
Known For: Colossus (X-Men: X2/The Last Stand), also in Twilight (not a good reference)
Why: Finding someone to play a 6'6" Russian ax-murderer isn't easy without using CG or camera tricks--but this man is actually that size, and built like a wall, a prerequisite to playing a juggernaut. He's played a Russian before, tackling Piotr Rasputin in X-Men (which was largely a silent role), and being such an unknown would give him an edge playing a massively freakish character like Vova. Also, with how much personality and insanity Vova requires, it would give Mr. Cudmore the chance to step out of his usual casting of the silent giant, and into the role of a crazy one.

Minor Characters:

Ivanev Zel'dovich - Alan Cumming
Known For: Fegan Floop (Spy-Kids series), Boris the hacker (GoldenEye), Glitch (Tin Man)
Why: First and foremost, I love Alan Cumming. No matter how old he gets, there is something cute about him, and he was once very attractive. Ivanev's role requires someone who looks visibly older, which Alan is, while also requiring a special delicacy and grace that comes with being fragile and withdrawn. He also has the ability to transform into a serious, respectable, almost business-like figure, which works with Ivanev being a banker (before certain events). Besides--like Daniel Cudmore--he's played a Russian before. And he looks like him. To the point of almost being scary.

Dakmar Polek - Aleksandr Konstantinov
Known For: Misha (One Night of Love [Russian soap])
Why: This one is purely for appearance, as Dakmar is a minor character. Ignoring the weird of casting an actual Russian as a Polish character, he resembles my original design for Dakmar to the point that you'd think I modeled him after him. As a soap star, he's well capable of overacting, but at the same time, he has experience playing an ironic character, and I imagine he'd enjoy being able to play someone who's bored and unimpressed with everything when his main role is usually opposite a melodramatic female love-interest.
