Well done!! Hey how do you get the glow effect?

for the glow I used a light aquamarine (the color of the magic) then gave it a warmer color. After that I used an airbrush then highlighted some areas, since it would have stood out a whole lot, I used the Blur tool to make it more subtle.

I created the lightning (cuz that's most likely what you want to hear) by getting a 5 pixel brush, using the shift to created straight lines created weird arcs. Then getting a 2 or 1 pixel brush I created the smaller branches. I gave it a nice glow effect by duplicating the lightning layer, then on the one below the other, I used the blur tool which gave it a nice glow-ish effect.
